Not to be the stereotypical guy complaining here, because that's a really solid set list....but no 1,000 Year Trip?! That's disappointing..
|
Are they a "shun the big hits" band? Cos I'm surprised Demon Cleaner isn't there.
|
I wonder what the turnout was like, I can't believe they played a 3000+ capacity venue.

They are playing big places. I wonder if the Sword will help attendance?

I think in this case it's "shun the stuff Josh Homme wrote" Edit: Dammit, forgot Odyssey was on there... |

Edit: Dammit, forgot Odyssey was on there...
Cycling through the liner notes of all the Kyuss albums the only songs in this set that Josh DIDN'T write, or co-write, are Gardenia, One Inch Man, Fatso Forgotso, Allen's Wrench and Green Machine. Although the split with Queens of the Stone Age says that Josh wrote Fatso Forgotso, and the Greatest Hits album says that Scoot Reeder wrote it. I counted fourteen songs in the entire Kyuss library that he didn't have anything to do with the writing, and unless they're going to do a largely instrumental set I don't think they'll ever be able to avoid doing a set that is 3/4 composed by their former guitarist. |
I'm going no matter what, so whatever bro's

A couple years off there ;) , though I agree, that and Demon Cleaner would have topped it off. |

The turnout was excellent. Lots of people there, and Kyuss tore it the fuck up! I would have posted a set list, but I couldn't remember it song for song. Monstro and The Sword were very good as openers, and Kyuss definitely did not disappoint. Highlights were, well the whole set, but One Inch Man, Odyssey and Whitewater were especially awesome. Josh who?... Anyway, what an amazing show, so glad I went. |
