Anthrax -- New York, NY -- September 12th, 2011

Fight 'Em Till You Can't
Got the Time
Caught in a Mosh
Antisocial
The Devil You Know
Indians
Madhouse
Metal Thrashing Mad
Only
I Am The Law
Earth on Hell

Only interesting songs were the 3 new ones and hearing Joey try Only. He sounded great except for a few times his voice cracked on some of the real high notes in certain songs. I would have liked to have heard a few rarer songs, but it was a free show so i can't complain. Band sounded good overall but need to get a little tighter at times.

Phil Anselmo and Kerry King came out to gie the band some props and a toast at different times duringt the show.

Apparently Phil was at the music clinic thing right before this show at the same venue along with a bunch of diff. metal musicians, and they all did two Pantera songs.

I don't complain about sets, but I hope their set is a little longer when they play Buffalo in November.

Free Anthrax show? Jealous!

I was there. Awesome show.

At the clinic, Phil sang "A New Level" and "Fucking Hostile" with Kerry King, Scott Ian, David Ellefson, Frank Bello, Charlie Benante, and Mike Portnoy all playing their respective instruments. Needless to say, it was epic.

A few of us saw it streaming. I loved every second of it.

Imagine actually being there. ;)

"At Dawn They Sleep" was awesome too. And Frank's porno-inspired bass riffing.

Yeah At Dawn They Sleep was by far the coolest thing I saw between the clinic and show. I'd probably rate my Top 5:

1) At Dawn They Sleep
2) A New Level w/ Kerry King shredding and Phil wailing
3) Earth on Hell (Figured they were done after I Am The Law)
4) Am I Evil
5) Got The Time (By far my favorite Anthrax cover)

It will be but not by much. Anthrax isn't known for lenghty headline sets. They usually do about 14 or 15 songs and that's it. The set will probably be what they did here plus another new song and a couple more old ones. Hopefully they'll play something else off POT instead of GTT. It's a cool rocking live tune but there is so much better off that album to choose from. I'd love to see ATL be a regular again.

Since the first track on the new album is just an intro that goes right into Earth On Hell, I can see that being the opener for the tour.

Yeah the set is definitely gonna be longer, and I agree that they need to throw in some more rarities. I'd kill to hear some Armed and Dangerous or The Enemy, but that's probably never gonna happen again. Regardless of what they play, though, it's fucking Anthrax with Joey Belladonna and it's gonna be amazing. They absolutely killed it when I saw them earlier this year at Heavy TO and I can't wait to see them again in November
