NHL 2011-12 Season
Well it's that time of year again hockey fans, we're about a month away from the season opener. Thoughts on the upcoming season are welcome!
I hate to put a jinx on them, but I'm going to pick my Hawks to take the Cup home this year. I like what they've done to take care of the depth they lost two summers ago and I think Hossa's due for a good offensive season in a Hawks uni. As far as other teams I follow, the Leafs will take a step forward but are still a year away from making the playoffs, the Sens will be fucking horrible, and I think the Caps will finally make it to the Finals. |
When Kansas City gets a NHL team, I'll get a season ticket. Until then, I'll watch hockey if it's on but it sucks not having a hometown team to root for.
|
I'm picking the Leafs to start strong for the first week or two, then suck for the following six months and not make the playoffs again; all the while selling out every home game and tons of T-shirts.

GO BRUINS GO !!!
We've lost Recchi (which is a good thing) and Rider (in his case maybe we'll miss his clutch playoff scoring goals) . But hopefully the young Caron will make the rooster and fill in for his offensive production. Seguin will have more icetime so he should improve from last year. The rest of the team is the same with the exception of Kaberly who has not been re-signed. In fact I think he is still unsigned, anyway not a big lost in his case. Hopefully Horton will be 100% at the begining of the season but if not he should wait to be 110% and not comeback too soon like Savard did and because of that his career is over. Things are still looking good for my B's Cheers ! PowerMaiden |

Indeed. Absolutely horrible. |
So what's everyone think of Shanny layin' the smackdown with 23 games worth of suspensions before the season has even started?! I think it's good for the game, players have been playing way too recklessly over the past few seasons.
