All Stars Tour -- Royal Oak, MI -- July 29th, 2011
Go ahead and laugh, but it was totally worth it to see the awesome sets from For Today & The Ghost Inside. After the Burial, In This Moment, IWABO, and Born of Osiris were cool, too. I did not like Motionless in White, For All Those Sleeping, or Sleeping With Sirens at all.
Before I get to the setlists... I left before Alesana and Emmure. I have seen Emmure a few times & do not like them. I've never even heard of Alesana. How are they? What did I miss?

Good choice on leaving before emmure. I would have only gone to see the ghost inside and iwrestledabearonce. Everything else I do not like especially for today. I just can't handle bands that want to preach for 10 minutes between songs. Believe what you want but don't tell me what I need to believe in. Plus their music just didn't do anything for me when I saw them.
Glad you enjoyed the bands you saw.
thanks for posting some sets from this tour. im going and wanna know what to expect
Standard Ghost Inside setlist, but what should I expect? They kick serious ass. Cool For Today set, also. They're a solid band. Born of Osiris is great live, too, even though I don't care for them on record. No After The Butial set makes me a sad panda though. T_T
Oh, and Alesana is a shitty screamo/whiny/crabcore gehfags band, so you did the right thing by missing them. I can't believe you liked In This Moment, either.
Also: In what order did Born of Osiris/After the Burial/For Today/IWABO play? Since if what I saw was correct, IWABO was playing over all of them. If it went by level of popularity, it should have been BOO/ATB/For Today/IWABO, and if it went in order of who was actually the best band, it should have been ATB/For Today/BOO/IWABO.
Anyway. Cool to see that someone went to this tour, since I resolutely decided not to. All the bands I'd like to see got short sets probably, and I'd have to sit through a lot of crap. AND I would have had to sacrifice a whole day or pay at work, which is never worth it.
and an Emmure set would have been a little cool i guess
I'm actually surprised you don't like Born of Osiris that much.
Only good band on this tour is In This Moment.
I forgot about born of Osiris I like them too but I have seen them live too many times over the last couple years to care

"Oh Lord, Forgive them, for they know not what they do."

Yep. I remember discovering them way back in the day in like, 2007, by accident on the same day that I discovered the Faceless. The New Reign was awesome, I thought. It was a lot more technical and cool than any deathcore at the time, which I loved. But all their music after that... meh. Their songs have horrible structure and style, to where I'll listen through a couple, stop, and not be able to remember a single riff or lyric I just heard. I thought The Discovery would be good, but it ended up just being super bland and boring compared to the other "great" Sumeriancore giants, After the Burial and Veil of Maya, who I shamelessly get boners for and will defend proudly. Still, BOO is fun live, and I would definitely see them again.
ALSO, it's kind of weird that TGI would close with Between the Lines. It's a fantastic song and all, but Faith or Forgiveness is like, always the perfect closer. Whatever. They're so damn good live, I can't wait to see them again.
