Cradle of Filth -- Toronto, Ontario -- February 26th, 2011
An early show because I think the club wanted us out by 11 for a Rave or something. I actually didn't mind. I missed Turisis and Daniel Lioneye. I was worried about Natchmystium because I like them but all I hear is how horrible they are live. I thought they were actually pretty good except when they got all four members singing then it sounded a little off. Cradle was great, I was surprised by the lack of new material, nothing from Damnation and a Day and how much of their stuff I actually knew. My first time seeing them, they all looked pretty cool except Dani. The new outfit he's wearing looked like a onesie you'd dress a toddler in (from hell). Or he's let himself go.
Nachtmystium (not sure) (not sure - instrumental) Nightfall Hellish Overdose Addicts Ruined Life Continuum High on Hate Cradle of Filth Heaven Torn Asunder Funeral in Carpathia Honey & Sulpher Lillith Immaculate Her Ghost in the Fog Nyphetamine - Fix Principals of Evil Made Flesh Under Huntress Moon Ebony Dressed For Sunset The Forest Whispers My Name Cruelty Brought thee Orchids From Cradle to Enslave We were out by 9:30. Had I know it was ending so early I'd have bought a ticket for Motorhead, who were playing less than a half hour drive away and probably didn't go on stage until 10:30. |
9:30 eh??? wow thats EARLY, I wish more shows in Vancouver ended around 10-11. None of this, show starts at 10pm and ends at 2 well after the public transit to most of the suburbs outside of Vancouver has ended.

Most shows in Toronto start at six or seven and end around 11:30 that I've been too, depending on how many bards are playing. It was a nice change to be home by 11 (I'm an old man now, I take my son swimming Sundays at 10am). |
All the club shows in Moscow have times set from 8-9, never earlier, and only later if it's a midnight rave or something. Almost all the arena shows I've been to here have 'started' at 7 though, apart from Limp Bizkit, which started at 8.

The start time was actually changed from seven to doors at five, I think. And the venue was moved from the Sound Academy (which holds around 1500) to the Phoenix (which is probably less than 1000). Motorhead were playing in town the same night but I doubt the promoter was worried that would take people away, totally different crowds. I think there was a Rave or something, I know some Toronto radio stations use that venue for live-to-airs on Saturday nights.

I was going to say that Motorhead is a million times better than Cradle of Filth, and then I remembered I only listen to two Motorhead songs compared to one whole Cradle of Filth greatest hits album. :eyes: |

Off Topic, but Sound Academy holds about 3200. |
