the Verdun auditorium is a small hockey arena near Montreal that holds attendance of maybe 5000. We were certainly a thousand more at that gig. That show was schedule in august but James broke is arm in a skateboard accident, then reschedule in october... we all know what happened...(R.I.P. Cliff) then finally in december with Jason. Needless to say back then Metallica were still angry and fucking heavy metal to the bones. So were their fans. It was one of the most brutal show I have ever been to, beer flowing, smoke everywhere, after Metal Church finnished their set (they were touring in support of The Dark btw and really gave us a mindblowing set) we couldn't even see on the other side of the arena because of the thick smoke in the place, fights everywhere, people passing out, security and emergency was overloaded. a real fucking metal show in the 80's. Back then Metallica was just there, right under Maiden. The show was fucking amazing, they really tore the fucking place down...

Too bad a big part of them also die on that bus accident...

Cheers !

So does anyone have any updates on how far along science is with getting a functioning time machine together:eyes:

Not a single flaw or dead moment in that set at all. This has got to be the best Metallica set i've ever seen.

Thanks for the great review PowerMaiden:rocker:
