Apparently its a prequel to John Carpenters classic. I just don't get why after all these years they decided to make another one...

Hopefully it doesn't suck. I grew up watching "The Thing" when I was a kid. Definitely one of my favorite films of all time:bouville:

Agreed. The Thing is in my top 25 films and one of the scariest; back in the day when they didn't have super computers and flashy special effects mostly everything was done with blood sweat and tears...the movie still scares me to this day...fingers crossed that this one is good

Man that trailer sucks. Looks like they've just turned The Thing into a standard American horror.
