We need a smiley for this feeling, because I would use it quite a bit. |

Just found the 'Upcoming Gigs' thread. Hahahah.. Shit. I can definitely understand why someone would feel that way, though I like a few of their songs. Sucks that Shrinebuilder was disappointing too, though. Never gone to a show where I left feeling disappointed, yet. |

How the fuck were they a dissapointment? You should feel honored to have seen them! haha. But seriously? You got a 75 minute set. I got a 50 minute set and was blown away. Where the other songs new songs or random cover songs? |

What you therefore got were all of their actual riffs. The 25 minute difference can be soley attributed to mindlessly repeating droning chords and fucking around with feedback. I love the album, but that was really fucking dull. On top of that the guitar sound was pretty dreadful. Way too much feedback and noise for the whole show. I think the other songs are new, but they didn't say a word all show, so I don't know for sure. Nagas 1 & 2 is instrumental (and sucks). We Let The Hell Come sounds like it'll be a killer on record though. Cool riffs and a great Scott Kelly vocal. At one or two shows they've played a song called Effigy as well. I don't know if that's a new one or a cover. Seeing Wino next week with Vitus for the second time this year should fix things. Wino is fucking tireless, man. He toured Europe with his solo band (I had to skip the London date because I had a ticket for something else), started the Shrinebuilder European tour the week after, then he's straight into Saint Vitus' tour this weekend. |
wait i'm confused, what was a disappointment?
and i've actually seen this lineup in the states before: http://www.metalsetlists.com/showthread.php?t=12806 |
