I went to this. It was a great show as always from Chimaira. :rocker:

So pissed I was out of town for this show :flame: Sounds sick. I'm gonna hit up Chimaira Christmas in Cleveland with some of my old buds; can't wait to see them there.

Down Again

Love that this tour is focusing on the lesser played/older songs this time around

very happy about LAZARUS and down again!! bummed about severed though, i want some other songs from pass out of existence, like painting the white to grey or let go

Emil from Daath is filling in on bass now that Jim left, right? Must be a pretty easy gig for him.

Yeah it's Emil. He filled in for them for a couple of songs on bass on one tour. Might have been the same tour he filled in for Matt on guitar.

I was at this show, and I have to say it was one of my favorite concerts ever. Chimaira's energy was amazing. Emil filled in great, and Mark announced Jim's departure, and that they didn't even rehearse with Emil. Emil just learned all the parts on his own and nailed it. There were so many surprises in the set. Cleansation, Impossibility, Down Again, and Lazarus!!! Highlights were the first two songs, Pleasure in Pain, Dehumanizing Process, and Nothing Remains. I still wish they'd play more from the self titled album. I don't think they give that album as much credit as they should. I think it is amazing. Lots of great songs. Loved to see Lazarus, but I would have preferred Comatose, Left for Dead, or Save Ourselves. But overall GREAT SHOW from Chimaira.

Save Ourselves would make this the best set from them I've ever seen.

agreed and I've been to a ton of shows this year. Daath and Impending Doom were awesome as well and it was the first time I had seen either of those bands.

The bassist, Emil Werstler, from Daath who is filling in on the tour is a 100X greater player than Jim LaMarca ever was.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 04:53 PM.
