Ballroom Blitz -- Brussels, Belgium -- October 1st, 2010
weird bill (I mean, Dimmu Borgir opening for Korn, what the ?), but great show from both bands ! New Dimmu songs are pretty good live, but my fav one is still Puritania.

I can't see too many Korn fans liking Dimmu Borgir. But then again, I can't see many [actual] metal fans liking them anymore either, so I don't know what kind of tour they should be on.
And that isn't to say you can't like "real" metal and Dimmu Borgir - it's just become a fact that they sold out long ago. |
since Vortex left I think that leaves a huge hole in the bands roster. His vocals were a fair addition to their sound.

Meh, tours like this seem to always work far better in Europe then they do in North America. I think in 2004 or something Korn played a few shows in Europe where the had Finntroll opening up for them.

indeed, for some strange reasons, we often get some weird tours (Kataklysm & Manegarm on the same bill, for instance, or Swashbuckle and the Bathory-tribute Twilight of The Gods), but I guess it's pretty interesting, you can discover bands... maybe we Europeans are a bit more open-minded, I don't know... |
