I got there when the doors opened at 6 and got in front of the lawn for best sound and sight. Mastodon started at 7 and had a few tech problems and in the first few minutes but got them settled. I saw them with Dethklok last year and they were atrocious. This show was better but not very much. I couldnít hardly hear singer and the bass warbled over everything is part of the show. The guitar solos were good but didnít save the show.
Colony Of Birchmen
Blood and Thunder
Next up was Deftones.i havenít heard much of this band in the past and I really had a biased opinion towards them going into this show. This band totally changed my opinion and blew me away. Chinoís screams were magnificent and Iíve never heard screaming of that quality live before. I will definitely be listening to them more now.
Around the Fur
Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)
My Own Summer (Shove It)
You've Seen The Butcher
Change (In the House of Flies)
Engine No. 9
Finally it was Alice in Chains turn. I missed this band earlier this year and man do I regret it. They were every bit as good as I would expect and more. They had an energy that was unmatched. Jerry Cantrell played like a god and William Duvall is an amazing front man that brought the total package to AIC. Jerry also spoke of this being the last tour for this album and after this tour they would be going into the studio to record a new album.
Dam That River
Rain When I Die
Check My Brain
We Die Young
Got Me Wrong
Man in the Box
Good review! I was also there, and had a great time. My only complaint is the deftones. The LCD screens were wonderful, but nearly seizure inducing at times. I wasn't impressed with their performance at all. It was a good setlist, and maybe its because I wasn't a huge fan to begin with except for the Diamond Eyes album, but overall I was disappointed with their show. AIC were incredible. The intro to Rooster gave me chills.

i only knew the one song "Diamond Eyes" before going and that is a mistake on my part. i think they have evolved to a great band
From what I understand, White Pony and Around the Fur seem to be their 2 best albums.
Nice AIC set
I must see Blood and Thunder at least once and I love megalodon, but other than that the set is just decent.
You didn't like them at the tabernacle? I liked them, not as much as center stage though. "mother puncher" is my jam.
Hmm....good to hear AIC is going to make another album. I heard an interview with Cantrell before this tour and it didn't seem like he was in a hurry to get another CD out.

Diamond Eyes and Adrenaline are both great also. Personally I'd rate them:
Around the Fur
Then the Self titled then Saturday Night Wrist.
I think the biggest problem people who don't know the Deftones music are having is them having to follow Mastodon. Kinda tough to follow Mastodon and grab people. By the time Alice in Chains come on everyone is in the right frame of mind plus they know most of, if not all of the songs. Just my thoughts...

this band is very irritating. i dont know why but they are shitty band to me and every band at the Dehklok show (except Dethklok) was terrible
