Warped Tour -- Atlanta, GA -- July 26th, 2010
I had always sort of planned to go to this, but it was nothing ever that serious. I love Every Time I Die with a passion but still I couldn't justify 30-40 bucks to see them. And then my friend canceled on me, so it was out of the question.
A couple of weeks ago, though, a kid from my school told me he had an extra ticket, and asked if I would like to go? Of course, I said yes. We got to the venue at 12. Walked around a bit, saw the last song of The Casualties. They were pretty good I suppose. Next we saw Dillinger Escape Plan at 12:50. I've heard that these guys were great live, and I guess I heard right. It may have been a little disappointing, but then again there weren't any rafters for the vocalist to climb on ;) I was pretty much the only one headbanging, and one of very few who actually threw up the horns correctly  Oh and the pit was all hardcore-dancers. No moshers to speak of. Panasonic Youth Milk Lizard 43% Burnt ? ? Good Neighbor Sunshine the Werewolf Farewell, Mona Lisa Believe it or not, the next band I saw was Suicide Silence. I was close by when they started playing, and they sounded all right, so I went into the crowd. Damn, these guys may suck on record (they do), but they put on a really good live show. Sadly I know the songs they played (some from knowledge, some because Lucker announced). Wake Up Lifted Unanswered (Lucker told the crowd that they were gonna play some 'old shit.' They only have two albums :tp:) Smoke (I thought he said Skunk, but I'm guessing this is it) Disengage No Time To Bleed No Pity For A Coward There were a couple of scene fags but most of the crowd was just bros, actually. It was goddamn hilarious when all the bros yelled "Pull the trigger bitch!" There were many hardcore dancers, obviously, but surprisingly, whenever Lucker shouted for a circle pit, the bros complied. They were pretty impressive circle pits as well, I gotta say. I caught half of GBH. They were alright. I don't dig the classic punk rock sound, though- I prefer classic hardcore punk. Also their new song "Kids Get Down" was completely pop-punk. I saw one song of Parkway Drive. Holy shit, this was possibly the worst band I have ever seen live. I thought that I would like them, at the very least more than Suicide Silence, because on album, they're typical metalcore. opposed to deathcore. Soon I was pretty dehydrated and feeling sick to my stomach, so I went to the Monster truck where they were giving out free Monster drinks. I got one, and stood inside trying to hydrate and cool down. No luck. And Whitecrapel was playing right outside, too. Their breakdowns didn't help. Every time they played one, I got a massive headache and chest pain. Not as bad as Parkway Drive but still pretty bad. Well, actually I think they played well, but their music was so bad that it didn't even matter in the end. I then sat in the shade for a half hour. feeling a little better, I headed over to the amphitheater to see Sum 41. For some reason we didn't go to the pit area- we got seats in the back. I'm sure they would've sounded better from the pit but it was okay. They were good, but the vocalist was way off during "The Hell Song." His singing was horrible. ? The Hell Song We Are All To Blame Motivation In Too Deep Fat Lip Someone got injured during the set, and the band helped him out. This took 10 minutes. It was nice of them to do, but their set was probably cut short as a result. Oh well. I headed to the parking lot with all the stages. I caught the last couple songs of Flatfoot 56. They were up-beat punk/ska. I really dug them; they were great. I went over to the main stage and caught the last few songs of Reel Big Fish. I like these guys a lot. They were great live as well. I know they played: Sell Out Beer After this we went up to the rail to wait for Every Time I Die...and it started raining. The security guard told us to go to the amphitheater. We sat through a really shitty band (Rocket for Summer). Then the Warped organizer announced to us: "It seems like every year in Atlanta we get stormed upon. We are forced to make some tough decisions, and Alesana and Bring Me The Horizon will play tonight on this stage.":mad::flame::flame::finger2::finger2: Every Time I Die canceled for fucking Bring Me The Horizon??? Goddammit! Fuck all the pathetic fans of this pathetic fucking band. And much of my hate goes to the organizers of this shit festival, too. You guys promised Rain Or Shine. It was even printed on my ticket. Fuck you. |

But they quickly disperse and turn into a dance floor again. |

I am sorry that Every Time I Die got canceled man they easily played one of the best shows of the day when I went to Warped and the fact they canceled for Shit On The Horizon is even worse:mad:

Thanks dude. Yeah it's really unfortunate that they had to cancel, and to make room for such a shitty band too...
