Made In Iron -- Allentown, PA -- November 28th, 2009
A random Maiden tribute played about 10 minutes from my house for $8, so I figured I was under some sort of obligation to go out and support the music of my favorite band. It was a good time. The show was a lot of fun and the band played the songs well, though probably a little below-par for a tribute band, but more than acceptable had they been a random band covering them. Definitely got an A for effort and again, it was a lot of fun. Was not expecting to hear so many early-years songs and also wasn't expecting the set to be this many songs either.
01.Ides of March
03.Murders in the Rue Morgue
08.Number of the Beast
14.Hallowed Be Thy Name
15.Where Eagles Dare
18.Run to the Hills
Wow, they played a lot of early stuff. Thats kinda cool, at least some of the songs aren't played often by Maiden. Was there an encore, did it start with Aces High? Kind of odd to play that song so late if not. Same for Where Eagles Dare. Two encores? haha
We have a Montreal based Maiden tribute band named Made In Iron they have a very big production though, like last time a saw them they had the whole Slavery stage replica, a walking Eddie ect ..., it was pretty impressive, I don't think it's the same band.
cool set though

Nah, the setlist was played in the exact order it's listed here. Yeah, I know, kinda weird. My biggest negative comment was this band's lack of attention to tradition and specifics and whatnot, but it was still a good show, and I did see 11 songs I've never seen Maiden play, so I can't complain.
