Where the Wild Things Are
Who else is excited for this? It was probably my favorite book when I was a kid, and I reread it yesterday and I still love the imagery. Sure, there's a chance it will be bullshit hipster pretentiousness, but I'm really looking forward to it and seeing how Jonze handles it.

I never really got into this book as a kid, I'm waiting for them to make In The Night Kitchen a movie.

I'm sure you'll find it if you browse the right child porn sites. :eyes: |

i never really liked this director and his shitty hipster movies (sans three kings), and the book escaped me as a kid. but im not gonna pass any judgement on this movie until its out.

I saw the movie last Tuesday. There was a sneak preview here in Ann Arbor. (I got to meet Dave Eggers too.)
I have to say, the movie is fucking excellent. Better than I had expected. As kids films go, it feels fresh. (And also, I wouldn't take my 5 year old to see it.) |

There wasn't much to get into. It was what 20 pages long and had a grand total of like 8 sentences? Even with that, it was my favorite book as a kid and I am pumped as hell to see this movie. |

well i mean like, i only read it like once. my cousins had a fucking In The Night Kitchen piece of art that was framed on their wall. So badass. |
I really liked the book as a kid but the movie looks awful. It looks like Spike Jonze turned into an overly artsy film.
