This was a free show put on by Converse, it ended up being a killer time. I saw a bit of the opener Arctic, but I wasn't too big a fan to be honest. Just seemed like generic SoCal stoner rock to me.

Ran into Christopher right as HoF began, good hanging with you dude! This was by far the best time I've seen High on Fire. Matt's voice is sounding fantastic and the band sounds tight as fuck. Extra props go to Jeff, who had what might have been one of the best live bass tones I've... [Read More]

Full review

pretty packed (about 200 ppl, 220 capacity)!

Fatally Yours was hard rock, good singer but kind of meh songs

Guns out At Sundown was energetic and very over with the crowd

Sleepwave (featuring some guy from Underoath apparently) was underwhelming after GOAS).

Nothing More was pretty great,... [Read More]

Boris has a handful of tour dates with Marriages and Master Musician Of Bukakke opening.

I caught last nights gig in Van. This was the best performance ive seen from Boris out of the 3x ive caught them now.

As for the openers, Master Musicians... we're just fine! Sounded like some really spacy post rockish material. 7 guys on stage who all wore costumes, and I wont say like Gwar, but almost kind of out there!

Marriages, is post rock/noise?... [Read More]

I've been looking forward to this for a long time, and even though the farewell thing might not be true, if it is it's awesome to say I saw them at their last Georgia gig.

A band from New York called The Raskins opened up the show. They were pretty good, a mix of Skid Row and L.A> Guns, with a little Poison thrown in the mix as well.

Next up was Alice Cooper, who I've been wanting to see for a good while now. He and his band did not disappoint. It was a 10/10... [Read More]

I got there at about 9pm and Know Lyfe was the first band I saw. Their original drummer was filling in for them, and he definitely held it down. The hometown crowd went bananas for these guys. I've probably seen them live over 15x now, and this was definitely one of the best shows I've seen them play.

Know Lyfe setlist

Got there after two openers played, Fell to Low and Creative Adult. Checked em out prior didnt really like any of em besides Cloakroom.

Cloakroom came out and played for about 40 mins of post-rock,emo, shoegaze whatever you want to call it. It sounded chill as hell and while I dug it not sure why this band was direct support to a melodic hardcore band.

The headlining band tonight was Nekrogoblikon (who is likely finishing their set right about now), but my buddy and I only stayed for Swashbuckle. He got there much earlier than I did, but when I showed up, Rainbowdragoneyes was playing.

These types of bands are weird for me. Sometimes I get cynical and can't appreciate them as a joke, whereas othertimes I think they're hilarious and awesome. Rainbowdragoneyes falls into the latter category. It's some strange... [Read More]
