J Mascis -- August 15, 2011 -- Wellfleet, MA

J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr)
August 15, 2011
@ The Wellfleet Beachcomber
Wellfleet, MA
Full show ~73 minutes

A suprising choice here. J Mascis is the lead singer of Dinosaur Jr. They're a pretty good noise alternative band, I guess that's what they would be called. My dad is a big fan, and I was on vacation in Cape Cod w/ my parents, so we hit this show. The Beachcomber is a very cool bar right on the beach. Really unique! We were disappointed when we found out that his solo performance was just him with an acoustic guitar. It was still pretty cool, though. Great guitarist and vocalist. Video is pretty solid, with some great closeups, but some obstructions. Fuckin hippies ruined the last 15 or 20 minutes. There were drunk ass low life hippies in front of us, and you can hear them yelling like jackasses for the last few songs. I fucking hate hippies. Very cool show, though.
