Do you think this is the tour they'll play all of Nostradamus on?

It could be the start of it. Still strong rumours of a date at the Royal Albert Hall in London for that. I'm there if they do.

God damn, 30 years. (http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=116237)
Next year (2010) will mark the 30th anniversary of British Steel, and Priest will be playing the album in it's entirety.
It says the Nostradamus tour/production will be postponed. If they're pushing it back to 2011, I think it would be a fair assumption that it might not happen at all. Too bad...

I'm stoked.

That pisses me off the most about these "30th anniversary specials." Other, more deserving albums get missed out on, and half of these "Classic albums" are already played live to begin with.

I'm personally upset at the pairing. I would've much rather had Priest play on their own so I could shamelessly buy cheap lawn tickets, and then get to see Whitesnake at a smaller gig closer for less. Now I'm either going to spend too much money or get a shitty spot. Not to mention I hate tours that are double headliners because the bands never actually play 2 full sets.

Just get lawn tickets and sneak down, at those big amphitheaters its hella easy. Last time I saw Rush my friend and I had lawn seats but got down to the very front right against the barricade, an Priest are no doubt gonna be playin the same venue in the Bay (Shoreline Amp in Mountain View has all the major outdoor shows) so we'll do the same :rocker:

I wouldn't think it would be a co-headline. I am sure that Whitesnake will get more than 30 minutes but they won't split the time with Priest.

Whitesnake have been excellent whenever I've seen them in recent years.

Not happy about the 30th Anniversary plans though. There's barely a song on British Steel they haven't played live in recent years. Plus, can anyone see Rob being able to sing things like The Rage?

It was the same when Dio did the Holy Diver album live. Pointless. He was playing 6 or 7 songs off it live every year anyway.

However Holy Diver Live was totally worth it to see Caught in the Middle and Invisible. The outro solo Doug Aldrich does on Caught In the Middle on that DVD is absolutely fantastic, then again so is just about every solo he does. He's so much of the reason I want to see Whitesnake.

When was the last time they played Rapid Fire or Grinder live?
They skipped Living After Midnight on the last tour, and I would be disappointed not hearing Metal Gods at any Priest show. The only one that might be objectionable would be Breaking The Law.

If anything, they should drop You've Got Another Thing Coming.

The arena that they are playing in St. Louis is in one of the northwest suburbs, so that would work in your favor. It is only about a mile from interstate 70.
