I'm fucking pissed that I've seen Overkill a couple of times and haven't seen In Union We Stand.

Torture Squad were outstanding. And Gama Bomb are diabolical. Second time I've had to witness them, and they're probably the most one-dimensional band I've ever seen.

Disappointing sets, all told, from Exodus and Overkill. Too many old songs, not enough variety, given that both have made excellent albums recently.

I think you might be on your own with that one.

No doubt. But any band who have made albums consistently their whole career and only play songs from 20 years ago live has made a mistake.

Both played better sets on their last tours.

Agreed. At least on the general mindset. I absolutely hate when a band makes a very good album and then doesn't play much off of it live. There are far too many bands who go on tour and play the dozen played-out hits and like 2 new songs. I think if bands aren't proud enough of their new albums to play more than a song or two off of them, they shouldn't be making them in the first place.

Now, I may not really know shit about Overkill, but I do know that Horrorscope is a killer album and that when I saw them, and now, they apparently don't realize this.

I've seen Coma, Nice Day For a Funeral, Blood Money, Thanx For Nothing, and Horrorscope.

From what I recall Horrorscope is second to Years of Decay for acclaim.

They acknowledged Horrorscope a lot on the last tour.

We got 'Horrorscope', 'Coma' and 'Thanx For Nothin'' back in August.

Cool to see Exodus throw Brain Dead in there, and the Overkill set is solid but not great. Where the fuck is Old School? That song is so fun live!

Where the fuck is Old School?

Thankfully missing. Awful, awful song.

They played it last time. That was annoying.

yep. don't get me wrong, Overkill still makes good albums (Exodus not so much), however I'd still rather see an Overkill setlist made up of earlier stuff (basically from Feel the Fire to WFO)

Have you heard Shovel Headed Kill Machine or The Atrocity Exhibition?

I don't get why every one hate's on it, I think it's such a fun song and perfect for a live sing along. Ah well.

I think from what Blitz said Overkill considered this tour an old school thrash fest. They've already toured for Immortalis, so as a one off tour I don't see a problem with them concentrating on their early stuff - Maiden do it. Personally I loved the setlist.

Great to hear The Last Act Of Defiance and something from Pleasures Of The Flesh.

awesome exodus setlist, hopefully they keep it for when they tour with kreator. Also sick to see feel the fire in overkills set.
