Mastodon, Alice In Chains, the Expendables, and CKY.
Possibly High On Fire, hopefully Baroness.
I'm not expecting much from Slayer or Suicidal Tendencies.

Of course: Anaal Nathrakh

But the top ones besides that are Napalm Death and Cattle Decapitation.

It'll be interesting to hear the new Satyricon, as well.

And maybe Necrophagist will finally release their 3rd album.

EDIT: And how could I forget Slayer?

SSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR R!!!!!

-Saxon - Into the Labyrinth (actually have it already)
-new Maiden
-new Astral Doors
-Lazarus - Awaken
-new Black Sabbath (Heaven and Hell)
-new Dream Theater (curious as to whether or not they still have anything worthwhile left in them)
-new Stratovarius (curious to see how badly the rest of the band fails without Tolkki)
-Primal Fear - 16.6
-Hibria - The Skull Collectors
-new Masterplan (I hope)
-new Nocturnal Rites (I hope)
-new Tad Morose (is it ever going to happen?!?!)
-Vision Divine - 9 Degrees West of the Moon
-new Jaded Heart

wow, lot's of shit planned already. Most of these are confired for '09 (obviously all the ones with titles are), a few are basically just logically assumed due to talk of work on a new album.

Mastodon, Kreator, Maiden.

I checked out the clips from the band's studio diary or whatever. It actually sounds alright, and at least better than the last two albums (and that Revolution Renaissance crap). Jens wrote plenty of the better Strato songs, and I personally think/hope this album will turn out great. I'm just expecting Tolkki to get his ass handed to him. And he deserves it. :D

Well I'm mostly basing it on the fact that Tolkki cited Kotipelto's desire to write more in Strato as one of the many reasons he was upset. I have Kotipelto's solo albums, and they're nothing special AT ALL. The first one's pretty solid, the second one has some interesting stuff on it, the third one s completely forgetable.
The Revolution Renassaince album was incredibly underwhelming. Tolkki's already working on a new album (my friend is their new keyboard player), and I hope that'll be a solid effort. The self-titled Stratovarius album was garbage.

Yeah, Kotipelto's solo work is pretty eh, which makes me a little doubtful. We'll have to see.

Also, it's a small world... A good friend of mine is also friends with that keyboardist.
New Ensiferum

I'd also LOVE a new Tarot album, but that can't happen until Nightwish stops touring :bouville:
