So says MTV News (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1597444/20081020/osbourne_ozzy.jhtml) (story found via Blabbermouth (http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/Blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=107242Blabbermouth)). Not a lot of detail in the story other than the festival is going back to its original format.

Fuck this. I saw it for free and regretted it. I can't imagine how I'd feel spending money on this shit.

I remain one of the last Ozzfest defenders of the board. That's fucking funny. :D

I was thinking about this the other day. How most of the people who sided with Sharon in the Ozzfest incident (Allan, Bouville, Cheese) are practically gone.

If I was immature I'd say "LULZ HOO 1 THAT BATTLE?/!1"

I remain one of the last Ozzfest defenders of the board. That's fucking funny. :DMy first Ozzfest was Freefest and I absolutely loved it. If the bands are decent, I'd definitely go again. I'm just saying it'll be bullshit bands after last years abortion.

I'm a yearly Ozzfest attendee, except for this year. Its always worth it if there are at least 2-3 quality bands, because you get to see some others that you wouldn't normally go out of your way to see. Also just being there is part of summer, kind of like the county fair.
Sharon is still a bitch.

I went in 1997, 2004, and 2005...had fun at all of them.

I'm not Anti-Ozzfest, but I'm nowhere near Pro-Ozzfest. My first year was 2006 (while looking back the lineup was dreadful, I'm glad I got to see Strapping Young Lad before they called it quits), and then I went in 2007. If it does really tour in 2009, and the lineup is decent, I might go.

i've never been to an ozzfest before (i don't count the one in dallas cause it was just a one date thing and since i arrived late as fuck!!!!) but i would really like to attend one in the future.

oh and yes Sharon is a bitch :D

Practically gone... but not entirely. :bliss:

Ozzfest really isn't that great in my oppinion. Yea there are a few great bands on the list but there is way to much crap for me to actually want to sit through it all. I will be spending my money on Gigantour. This years line up was awsome In Flames Children of Bodom and Job for a Cowboy. And No large amounts of shit.

If Jack/Sharon get the right idea, they will be headlining the second stage. Still yet to see them, but from what I hear, it would be one hell of a show.
With the kind of crowd Ozzfest attracts (many out of the loop, middle of the road metal fans), it would be a perfect move for the band

Gojira do put on a hell of the show! Easily stole the show I saw from In Flames

Im hoping it will be Ozzy headlining the second stage and Judas Priest headlining the main stage. I would prefer to see Maiden headline the main stage but that will never happen due to the fact that Sharon Osbourne is a cunt rag.

I doubt Priest will go on Ozzfest (especially now).
Freefest was fun, I'll definitely go if it isnt to expensive. Festivals are always fun, well, most of them are. Mayhemfest sucked.
I miss SOTU.

Agreed.
Summer Slaughter is pretty good, although they have way to many deathcore bands. SOTU was pretty much perfect, well as good as it could get. Some shitty bands but lots of solid ones, and it doesnt hurt that GWAR was at every one :D

Clutch, Opeth, High on Fire, SYL and Lamb of God at the top of their game, I'm still wondering how I missed this.
