Personally I'm very disappointed by Circle II Circle's set list. I think Soulbreaker and Chase the Lies simply shouldn't have been played and could've been replaced by any other new songs. Messiah could've been replaced by any other Burden of Truth song also, ditto with Sea of White and almost any other Watching in Silence song. And the icing on the shitty cake was that Nothin' Goin' On was played... Are you serious? It's easily one of the weakest tracks Zak ever did with Savatage. To think Follow Me could've been done instead makes me quite upset. I hope this set list changes considerably between now and October 8th.
As for Jon Oliva's Pain's set, I am much more satisfied. I could've done with less stuff from the new album, or even different stuff (Before I Hang mainly), but it's not a big deal. I was also upset that they didn't do Gutter Ballet with Zak. I consider that a wasted opportunity. Aside from that I'm happy and hope this set list generally sticks.

...Are you kidding me?

4 songs out of a 17 song set is too much from the new album?
I understand that only leaves one song from Maniacal Renderings and none from 'Tage Mahal...but. How could anyone complain? 12 Savatage songs!

I'd kill to see this tour, but the closest date to me is 18+

Considering the new album isn't very good? No, I'm not kidding. And I said, it's not necessarily too much, just not very good picks in my opinion. It also just bothers me that the first JOP album is easily the best and they're not doing a single song off it.

Pretty great show, except my one complaint was that I was the youngest one there and still the only one headbanging and singing along. Everyone else was just trying to not spill their beers and screaming YEAHHHH! SAVATAGE! But besides that, and the freakishly dissapointed CIIC set, it was pretty great.

Well there are two sides to Savatage. If you are looking for an album in the same vein as Mt. King go for Power of the Night. Gutter Ballet wouldn't be a bad call either, but there are some ballads present.
Personally I prefer the 90s Savatage, namely the albums Streets, Edge of Thorns, and Handful of Rain in that order. The latter 2 have Zak Stevens (Circle II Circle vocalist) singing, who has a much more clean and melodic voice than Jon Oliva. Check out the song "Edge of Thorns" via YouTube or something. If you like it, go for Edge of Thorns or Handful of Rain.
Oh, and if you like Zak with Savatage, Circle of Circle's "Burden of Truth" is a must-own album.
