Great show as always but a bit disappointed he played the same old Psycho Drama Tour setlist from last year, given that the new album is out now and especially when his current tour merchandise has 'Along Came A Spider' artwork on.

You'll get some of those, but not all of them. You're get the obvious ones like 'School's Out' etc. The boring ones that he plays every year. But by September he *should* be playing an 'Along Came A Spider' set.

I was really hoping for 'Vengeance Is Mine' and the return of one or two tracks from 'Brutal Planet' and 'Dragontown'. Stuff like 'I'm Eighteen', 'No More Mr Nice Guy' and 'Only Women Bleed' are getting quite dull now.

With a new album out I was really expecting a different setlist this time, not a two-year-old one.

Well the tihing is, he's doing a State Fair here, so you think he might do all the classics and stuff?

either way, it'd be awesome.

Hmm, that's a good point.

It just doesn't make sense for him to do a whole tour from July through to October, following the June release of a new album, with no band personnel changes, and not play the new songs.

He usually changes up the older songs in the middle each year too. Keep your fingers crossed that he keeps the 'Steven' > 'Dead Babies' > 'Ballad of Dwight Frye' bit. That's awesome. He used to do songs like 'Killer', 'Black Widow' and 'Devil's Food' in that segment too. Either way, the combo of 'Steven' and '...Dwight Frye' basically sums up the theatrical nature of his best music.

And that segment always shows off how tight his band are as well. I don't know how they do it, but throughout that whole thing the music becomes really involving, if you see what I mean.

My favourite setlist of his that I've seen is still the 2002 Descent Into Dragontown Tour set.

Pretty much the same setlist I saw, but it's a great show nonetheless. I really wish he'd bust out " Wind Up Toy ", " Bed Of Nails ", " Spark In The Dark ", or some more off Brutal Planet. I don't really like the new album that much on the first few listens, so I'll wait on saying he should throw some new material in there.

i will be seeing alice and scorpions aug.9th @ Fort McCoy in Tomah,WI. its a military base all for $35.00. i was wondering if it would be appropriate to take my 14 year old son to his 1st show? pretty cool because all the money from the show goes to soldiers and military base. By the way it's obviously my 1st time seeing alice too. thanks. peace dicky

Your boy will probably be fine. Alice does a few tricks which are a bit on the gruesome side if we didn't all know it was fake. He gets hung (it's cool!) after Ballad of Dwight Frye, and he kills a baby during Dead Babies. Oh, and cuts Calico's throat at one point.

It's not worse than a cheap horror movie ;)

'Vengeance Is Mine' needs to be in there. One or two others would fit well. My problem with the new stuff is that it's not dark enough for the subject matter. Plus a couple of songs just plain suck.

The plan is to have the full-on "Along Came a Spider" tour start in 2009. But, once he gets back to the US for his dates starting next week, it sounds like there will be ACAS tunes added into the setlist. Can't wait! I'm seeing him a number of times...including at Fort McCoy. :-)

I heard that. He really shouldn't be putting 'Along Came A Spider' artwork on the Psycho-Drama Tour merch ;)
