Sony released new system software (2.4) earlier day and has already had to pull it. Read about it here (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/07/02/firmware-v240-status/comment-page-1/#comments).
There was a lot of anticipated goodness about 2.4, like PS3 Trophies (Sony's Achievement system). So sad... :(
