View Full Version : This isn't so much a thread as it is a question

As most of you know, I can be a little crazy sometimes. One of the methods I use to try and diffuse anger and confusion is by communication. Most of the time I'm able to get this stress out by talking. But for other subjects slightly more esoteric such as Iron Maiden, writing usually helps.

Over the past couple of days, I've been writing to myself a long monologue regarding the Iron Maiden's past couple of years. Before 2005, I worshipped Maiden and every damn thing they did. Now I can barely look at a setlist without some type of stupid scrutiny. I'm telling you guys this before I drop the speech itself because the speech is fucking long (about 7+ pages on my writing program). And usually if you drop something that large on somebody they get bored halfway through if they don't know what they're reading and just quit after a while.

I realize I could put this in the "Asshole opinion" or my blog, but a) nobody reads that shit :) and b) I kind of want to have a discussion about it since not only has Maiden gone through some crazy shit the past 3 years but so has this board itself. Allan, Bouville, and TP are long gone, as is the banner of Maiden playing on the EdHuntour, and we have a few broken in noobies who have likely have their own thoughts to share on the situation.

So...what do you guys think? You want me to drop my "State of The Maiden address" on you or not? (and yes Pavo there is setlist talk too, quite a bit of it actually).

I'll read it if you post it. I'll most likely disagree though, because I still worship everything Maiden does.
