Swiss avant-garde/metal pioneers CELTIC FROST have released the following statement via their official web site:
"CELTIC FROST singer and guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer has left CELTIC FROST due to the irresolvable, severe erosion of the personal basis so urgently required to collaborate within a band so unique, volatile, and ambitious."
:hecho:

This sucks. Well at least I got to see them twice I just wish I could've seen them play some of the fast songs live.

odd that he quit since for all intents and purposes it's his band. He was the only constant and there is no CF without him.
glad I got to see them back in 1987 (Into the Pandemonium tour) opening for Anthrax.

You live a pretty nice life if this is the worst day of it :eyes: :eyes:
But yeah, this doesn't bother me at all, Monotheist sucked and they were creatively treading water anyhow.

I did too. Made for a pretty good live set. Caught 'em with Goatwhore and Sunn-O at the Disneyland House Of Blues before some Rat Bastard largely banned metal at that venue...

Celtic Frost was my first "big-boy" concert (AKA not blink 182 or ben folds). It was one of the best nights of my life. Only Goatwhore opened, but Celtic Frost was unbelievable. I had listened to them extensively, more than any other artist, in my early metal days. I loved it so much and I'll never forget it.
