So says Blabbermouth (http://www.roadrun.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=93418) as strongly rumored.. of course, no detail. It will also be strongly rumored that Motorhead Jeff will kick some serious ass at a couple of these shows in California.

BTW, Blabbermouth mentioned that Motorhead went into the studio in January. We need a Lemmy smiley.

This rumor always happens. It's either this or Iron Maiden with Priest.

Given that H&H won't be touring anywhere until next year, this seems unlikely.

Personally, I wouldn't expect to see Priest in the US this year either since I suspect they'll start their proper Nostradamus tour in the Autumn in Europe and do the US early next year. But who knows.

What is your source for this info? There have been many rumors that H&H would tour again this year.

Well, they're doing the new album first. They've said that themselves.

Dio is touring in the Summer, so there'll be no recording then. Which means the album won't be started until the Autumn/Winter. And I don't expect them to knock it out quickly either! Dio is also planning to record his record this year.

Pretty sure Dio has himself said there won't be any H&H touring until 2009 with the new album, but I'm not about to go searching for the quote ;)

Is Dio doing a full tour or just some of the festivals this summer?

I called Motorhead Jeff about this rumor...."What? Those bands are opening for Lemmy?"

Some and some. The dates in the UK and Scandinavia, for example, are proper Dio headlining dates (I will be attending in London).

If this tour happens it'll be awesome. I also heard a rumor that Testament is opening too. Man, I would probably pay to see any one of those four bands alone...but all together

The Classic Metal Show: Is there anything you can tell us about this JUDAS PRIEST, HEAVEN AND HELL and MOTÖRHEAD tour? (As previously reported by BLABBERMOUTH.NET on January 17, March 22 and March 27.)

Rob: I can only tell you that suddenly I got a flood of e-mails, "Have you checked Blabbermouth?" I'm like, "No." "Go into Blabbermouth right now." And I did. Blabbermouth is the TMZ of [heavy metal]. And I saw it. Live Nation are promoting the tour, and I guess the professional way of dealing with this is to say that Live Nation will be making an official announcement probably a few days from now. But it's difficult to keep that kind of thing quiet 'cause… If it does happen, and it's looking very real, it's gonna be one of the biggest metal shows in the States this year.

The Classic Metal Show: This year? How about ever, Rob? Jeez… You guys and BLACK SABBATH? Wow!

Rob: Well, I see what you're saying. It's HEAVEN AND HELL, but I know what you're saying. Yeah, it is reminiscent of that Ozzfest when you had PRIEST and SABBATH and SLAYER all on the same bill. Yeah, if it happens, it's gonna be great — MOTÖRHEAD, PRIEST, HEAVEN AND HELL… That's a killer metal show.

The Classic Metal Show: I think TESTAMENT are supposed to be on that bill too.

Rob: Yeah, that's what I'm hearing as well. There's tons of e-mails flying back and forth and you just have to… You have to wait for the official announcement because it has to be sanctioned by management and the lawyers in the suits and that other rubbish. But if we get what we are hoping to get, I think it's gonna be an absolutely sensational, killer American tour — 'cause it won't happen anywhere else in the world, this lineup. It'll just be for the States.

Well, I don't like Motorhead at all, Priest will be flaunting their new, presumably lame album, and I've already seen H&H. I don't think I'll be going.

Listen to Headloss Cross...they usually play alot of songs from that album..

Also listen to Jugulator, Priest tends to stick close to songs from this album.

And for Motorhead, check out Bomber.

If this happens, to not take a lineup like that Worldwide would be moronic in the extreme.

If they were smart, they would, it's among the best of their stuff by far, no joke.

Motorhead suck

..........................

Is it even possible to say that?

Anyway, a bouncer from the Fillmore said that they're gonna have it at the Shoreline for the Download festival.
Completely opposite from last year's US Download festival, which featured a bunch of mainstream bands so bad that I can't even remember.

Erm, not they don't. Dio didn't sing on that one, it was Tony Martin.

I agree that it's one of the best Sabbath albums though.

No, no and thrice no. The Fast Eddie era albums are almost entirely dull.
