No, that can't be all. I think they announced the first dates for their second and final legs of the tour. I mean, at the beginning of June, they are going to be in Seattle. You're telling me they are skipping all of West Coast/Midwest all of April/May/most of June? Nahhh, can't be.

and also at the end of May, they will be in Texas. I'm hoping for a close midwestern date in mid-May. :D That'd be a great birthday present.

I forget the exact way he worded it, but he basically said if we see them in June it won't be the same show we saw tonite, and something about it being longer.

It's just pretty frustrating that they RARELY do anything beyond the bare minimum. Tour dates and setlists namely. It's hard for me to keep faith in a band that does this, and frankly Maiden is the only one I can think of.

Definitely in agreement. Their approach to Europe now is the play the biggest venues they possibly can so they don't have to play more than once in the same country.

And the setlist for this current tour is diabolically lazy.

i for one love the set list although they can make some changes. i think that having fear of the dark on there is a waste of a spot. i love that song to death, it's my fav. live song from them, but it's the somewhere back in time tour, so they should stick to the oldies.

they should take out can i play with madness and somewhere on there add caught somewhere in time, the evil that men do, running free.

some others that would be nice are wrathchild(just to see some killers on there), 22 acacia ave, invaders(i love that song), die with your boots on, flight of icuras.

Maiden33
03-17-2008, 04:05 PM
wrathchild(just to see some killers on there)

God, not Wrathchild. That's such a mediocre song and doesn't need to be played live to the rediculous extent it has over the years. If a Killers song is necessary (which IMO it's not) they should bring back the title track or, though it was never a live hit, Purgatory. Murders in the Rue Morgue wouldn't be a bad choice either.

I'll agree that on paper its been played to death (even though I have yet to see it live) and they should let other songs from it get some fresh air. I actually would really like to see Another Life and Drifter, but because they was on Early Days tour (and Killers and Purgatory weren't) it would just be nice to spread the wealth equally.
