Maiden played last night at the Forum. I was able to meet up with Ed and es156 although I lost them later during the whole floor pandemonium that occurred. Amazing show! The show started with "Doctor, Doctor", then "Transylvania" played during a video montage of the band traveling on ED FORCE ONE and then Churchill's Speech. Best news of the night is that Maiden is coming back to LA for 2 dates in late May as well as other cities in the West.

Set list:

1: Aces High
2: 2 minutes to Midnight
3: Revelations
4: Trooper
5: Wasted Years
6: The Number of the Beast
7: Can I play with Madness
8: Rime of the Ancient Mariner
9: Powerslave
10: Heaven Can Wait
11: Run To The Hills
12: Fear of the Dark
13: Iron Maiden

Encore:

14: Moonchild
15: Clairvoyant
16: Hallowed Be Thy Name

Alright guys, Fear of the Dark was nice for India since you don't go there often, but we want old shit.

FOTD is their best live song, it wouldn't be the same without it.

I haven't seen them yet so yeah I guess it'll be nice. But I'd still sooner hear another SIT song.

It was definitely still amazing without it in 2005. They have other great live songs they could use.

Like Alexander the Great for example.

It worked just fine on the Early Days tour.

FOTD is their best live song, it wouldn't be the same without it.That's debatable! Seen many Maiden shows before that song existed and they were just fine!!!:D

It was a great show despite numerous technical difficulties mostly with Bruce's mic. Adrian was not loud enough either.

Anyone else see Rob Trujillo & Lars Ulrich at the mixing desk? (I always bring a small pair of binos and look around between bands).

And to those of you who wonder (or criticize), Bruce's voice sounded terrific!!!

Revelations sounded great!!! And Rime was so sweet!!!

I saw FOTD live last time, CSIT should be in the setlist this time around.

Don't get me wrong, haha, a Maiden gig without FOTD would still be amazing. But FOTD is sooo good :D

Well thank ed they're coming back for summer.
The Concord date is on a Wednesday, and its the day before I graduate, so I might head down to LA on Friday or Saturday instead.
Either way it will kick ass if they keep this up.

Apparently Scott Ian was there as well. He even posted a terrific review on the IM site!
