"TOKYO - Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page said Monday he was ready to take the iconic band on a world tour after burning up the stage at last month's reunion concert in London. But it probably won't be before September."


Who saw this one coming? Hopefully a live dvd will come out of this.

That's not quite right. He didn't say there would be a World tour. What he actually said, when asked about a World tour, is that Robert Plant is involved in a "Parallel project", i.e. the thing with Alison Kraus, which will keep him busy until at least September, so he can't give any answers yet. All the media outlets have jumped on it and said "Led Zeppelin World Tour in September!!".

You'll notice not a single report on this contains a quote from Jimmy saying "we're going on tour". I'm pretty sure if he'd said categorically there's going to be a tour, that would be the quote everyone would be using.

We all know they will tour. How could anyone turn down the kind of money they're going to get? But there's still nothing confirmed.

And there's already going to be a live DVD of the London show.
