MEGADETH is rumored to have tapped Chris Broderick (NEVERMORE, JAG PANZER) as the replacement for lead guitarist Glen Drover.

Although MEGADETH has yet to confirm Glen's departure via its official web site, numerous postings on various message boards (including MEGADETH's official forum, where such messages are regularly deleted) have suggested that Drover has left the band in order to focus on family life.

Don't know if this is true or not.....

Does it really matter?

I saw Chris Broderick fill in for Steve Smyth when I saw Nevermore, and he did an awesome job. And Jag Panzer are really good. I don't know if the rumors are true, but I dont see how adding him to the band could hurt the writing process.

I am also heard a rumor (which I think has been discredited) that Jeff Waters of Annihilator was going to fill in. I think thats false, but it would still kick a ton of ass. :D

Glen has zero stage presence, so it really doesn't matter.

Broderick is a technically phenomenal player, but he's absolutely soulless as a soloist. It's just runs up and down scales, arpeggios, and random flowery technique. I own 3 Jag Panzer albums, and I seriously can only tell you what one of the solos sound like. JP are great though, I want them to tour again.

Seconded. He's an absolutely brilliant player technically but absolutely ZERO feel. I'd much rather him stay with Jag Panzer and see them crank out a new album than join Megadeth as well.

Megadeth should just team up with Metallica and they should both put on one final show where they play Rust in Peace and Ride the Lightning back to back, and once the show is over they both end their fucking careers.

I never cared about Megadeth. What is the appeal, awful singing and marginal guitar work? The lyrics were pretty bad and the production was almost annoying, it seemed like they were trying to match the instrument's sounds to dave's voice. I don't know how anyone compared megadeth to classic metallica or slayer

Alot of Megadeths old stuff has some killer riffs going on, but their recent albums have been pretty lackluster.

I love Dave Mustaine's leads on the old Megadeth albums. Shit I thought he murdered Chris Poland on the first two albums! Very vicious and melodic!

I am sure this means ample destruction for Jag Panzer. If the band breaks up, then I bet their fans when ensure that there will be hell to pay.

There's really no justifying saying Marty Friedman isn't an outstanding guitar player.

There's really no justifying 97% of what comes out of Dave's mouth.

a) Where is Candy Mountain?

b) Exactly why do you hail from "Candy Mountain?"

c) Is candy not in reference to sweets, but a stripper, and is the mountain in question actually her plump juicy ass? :D
