Talent should open a Maiden concert, not hot. Maybe Lauren has it... haven't seen her music but there are a lot of other acts I'd prefer at this point. :2cents:

It's not like anyone in the audience, save for the NJ show, would have a chance with her anyway.

I heard a rumor that Iced Earth might be supporting Maiden in the states at some point next year. I'd be very happy.

Oh oops, I was looking at the dates she is supporting 'Thunder' and missed the LA date.

Oh oops, I was looking at the dates she is supporting 'Thunder' and missed the LA date.So like I said, it'll give me time to buy a shirt and stuff and not have to hurry in traffic. I just don't get the music combo here of power-pop w/ heavy metal but I understand due to nepotism why she is appearing. And now there is also this:

Honestly, I'd rather have Lauren Harris open than any emo/screamo/nu band or what have you. I'm no fan of pop music, but it's a lot easier for me to tolerate than the stuff mentioned above.

What if she gets booed and bottled like FFAF (who by the why played through it like real men)? Will Steve Harris go mental? If he comes out and starts lecturing the fans... priceless.

True. That almost ruined my first Slayer concert, having a stupid metalcore band open for them.

If I was her I would hate this. Opening for a huge audience of people just standing still and paying no attention to you knowing full well you're on the tour because of daddy. wouldn't she rather play smaller places full of people who would actually like to see her? Or do those people not exist?

Saw Lauren supporting Thunder on Sunday.

Awesome guitar player (who appears to think he's Zakk Wylde), old-aged gay drummer is a twat who thinks he's hilarious, and Lauren's voice isn't horrible, but the songs are awful. They're all incredibly lame pop songs, but with great guitar work.

I always suspected she'd be horribly out of place at a Maiden show, now I know.

Well she can't possibly be worse than Bullet For My Valentine and even if she is at least it gives me something to look at if I make it to the Jersey show.

Yea BFMV were REALLY bad. As I remember it the only people watching them were some angsty looking teens on the floor, everyone else was off buying their beer and shirts.

True Story:

When out in the lobby rigtht after BFMV ended, some "angsty looking teens" came out and made their way towards the exit. I distincitvely heard: "the show is over"

Yea there were plenty of those types there. They probably secretly like Maiden but were pissed that they had to be home before 10.

Just in case everyone wasn't already pissed about support on the Maiden tour, Australia are getting Vanishing Point on their dates.
