-Megadeth-Rust In Peace-Intro riff by Marty and Dave is metal at its greatest
-Sepultra-Beneath The Remains-Those four bars before the chorus
-Pantera-The Great Southern Trendkill-That riff were the song slows down with all those harmonics is just:drool:

Iron Maiden: Hallowed Be Thy Name - final guitar harmony riff
Slayer: Angel of Death - mosh riff
Megadeth: Bad Omen - both funky-ass main riffs
Ozzy: Diary of a Madman - the completely badass riff that comes in between the long chant-y bridge and Randy's eerie solo
Ozzy: Believer - main riff
Mastodon: Seabeast - final riff
Opeth: Deliverance - final riff
Hendrix: Purple Haze - main riff

That's just the prominent metal riffs that come to mind. I'm not gonna take the time to delve into all my favorite non-metal riffs just now.

That middle, mini-solo part of "Spirit Crusher" by Death. You know what I'm talking about.

Ted Nugent - Great White Buffalo

I think it's by Ted ... I know it's called Great White Buffalo and Ted is the only person who comes up with a song named that in a search.

If I was gonna call an all-time fave, I'd say the riff behind the solo in "Powerslave." That or the main riff to "Bonded By Blood."

Edguy - Fallen Angels
Queensryche - Walk in the Shadows

Come on are you serious? That's the best you can come up with from those bands? Every riff from the Queensryche EP destroys Walk In The Shadows I think.

In regards to Edguy, Fallen Angels may not be the best riff they ever wrote, but its definately my favorite to play, I just love the feel of it.

And for some reason I've always loved the Walk in the Shadows intro.
