Hey guys I just bought the new Iced Earth album today, and well I was just wondering what is the story in this album.

Once upon a time, Jon Schaffer learned how to play a triplet.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Here's where I bring in my Schaffer joke:

Q:If Jon Schaffer and his wife had kids, what would they be?

A:Triplets

Its actually not my joke, it was told to me by a bearded man I met when I saw Blind Guardian.

It's actually gallops. I mean he doesn't really use triplets so much. :eyes::tongue:

Do you want a track-by-track or just an overview

Jon Schaffer saw the movie Stargate and then decided to mix it with stuff from Revelations.

LOL to the Star Gate thing, but I guess just an overview if you want to tell it track by track by all means go ahead.

I quickly perused the booklet... that's a pretty good answer.

If you've bought the album... have you given reading the lyrics in the booklet a try? ;)

I was actually going to say something very similar but I figured someone would bitch at me for being overly picky. It's really not very much triplets but more 2-16th note and an 8th note sets done really fast.

overly picky.

Not an intentional pun, but I still laughed haha.

Haha, yeah, oddly I didn't even catch it until now.
