Katatonia -- Poughkeepsie, NY -- September 8th, 2007

I missed the opening bands, Swallow the Sun and Insomnium, unfortuntely. I did end up catching the tail end of Scar Symmetry's set but I thought that they were terrible. Katatonia, however, sounded fantastic. I had high expectation from watching their concert dvd "Live Consternation" and they did not disappoint. The sound was very off for the first song but was fixed by the first note of "Ghost of the Sun."

Great show, I was there rocking my WOA 2007 shirt. Scar Symmetry was awful...I think they listen to Soilwork a bit.

I like Scar Symmetry but everyone i know who's seen them live says they're awful. :eyes:

he really was. why did he seem so surprised/upset that we didn't sing along? who do they expect already knows their lyrics well enough to sing?

Scar Symmetry was alright when I saw them...

Oh man, I can't believe you missed Insomnium and Swallow the Sun. I probably would have killed myself, missing them the one time they come to the states...

I drove 3.5 hours to see these four bands. My setlist is coming shortly.
