Finnish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH have recruited 35-year-old Swedish singer Anette Blyckert (a.k.a. Anette Olzon) to replace Tarja Turunen.
Looks a little like Targa... (http://mirror.nightwish.com/images/news/promo-anette2.jpg) ....decent voice from the sample... I'm encouraged. :cool:

She is nowhere in the league or Tarja from what I can hear on the song Eva, although she does have a great voice.

like ive stated in previous threads, i dont thin that her voice has the power necessary to sing in nightwish . . . it sounds as if she belongs in Within Temptation or something like that.

I am not familiar with her work before these Nightwish announcements... I'm keeping an open mind for the album and the show in late fall. :2cents:

exactly. like i said, the song doesnt lend itself very well to powerful singing . . . Tarja did plenty of soft stuff too. With the amount of searching they did I am pretty certain that she will be a top notch singer.
btw . . . way to try and cheat on the smilies and fuck up :lol:
