Everybody here is of the general age group that is looking for colleges/applying for colleges/in college/have recently left college. So name your college(s) of choice (or the one you're currently attending) just to fulfill my curiosity.

For me, Northwestern University is looking pretty good in almost every thinkable aspect.

If you wouldn't mind, could you guys give me some perspective as to why you chose to go where you did and how you like it now that you're there?

I go to the University of Arizona.

Isn't that the sluttiest college in America?

I need to decide what I wanna do, career wise. I am very interested in sociology and social psychology, but I am equally interested in political science, religion/theology, and philosophy..

I dont know any careers in any of those fields, nevermind a job that would encompass all of that :( I couldnt care less about the atmosphere of the college (party school, or whatever)

:eyes: I wasn't aware there was such a distinction. I do know that we're one of the top party schools, though.

Anyways, I decided to go here because they were the first ones to offer me a scholarship  But it really is a great university: Gorgeous campus, great faculty, a really good journalism school, etc. I've been here for 4 years now, so obviously I'm enjoying it

For the Ph.D I had to choose between Yale, Calgary (Canada) and Stanford. I finally chose Stanford for two reasons: a) research interest and, b) funding. Yale was very close though, Calgary was my safe option in case I was not admitted to Stanford nor Yale.

Yes, I am smart.

Really? I know we're ranked really high in engineering and buisness, but I didn't know we were so highly regarded in that field

Behavioral Archaeology was originated in Arizona and also was the home of Processual Archaeology (with Chicago). The Anthropology Department of Arizona was THE department in the 70's. It it's not at the same level now but still it is good.

Fuck that, I'm not going into history. I'm planning on going to law school, but honestly the more I think about it the more being a career lawyer makes me want to go emo and cut myself. I really don't know what I'm going to do.

And to top it off I'm at an IT manager... you'd think I'd have gone to school for computers

Eh, that's only $1000 less than NU, and it doesn't offer a journalism major. I'll probably check it out next summer when I visit schools though.

Yeah. You'd probably be better off going straight to Medill then.
