That seems like an odd place for a one off show.

It's not the only 2012 date, but it's the only date in outer Europe.

Pop Evil is the worst fucking band I've seen in my life.

They are close to being mine.

Mine is 30 Seconds To Mars.

They came on 45 minutes late. No stage show/backdrop. Drummer was in the corner of the stage. No lights on so you could barely see. The singer was dressed as a ringmaster and was just spinning around and wasn't even singing. The guitarist had his guitar so low the he wasn't holding it and only pulled it up to hit a note every few minutes and you could see guys on laptops on the side of stage mixing the sounds. IT WAS TERRIBLE!

Yes, great album.... and "Vigil" is probably the best song they've recorded. I think they almost always play it live.

I think you should just have fun in the pit that night and film during the other shows.

I'd love to man, but fucked up my meniscus moshing during Terror/Cruel Hand. 6 weeks later it's still a little sore. I have announced my retirement from moshing :snivel:.

We'll see, though. I can still move around and have a good time sans moshing.

@ Brutal: I had a feeling that you might have a strong reaction to my post because I know you really want to see Amon Amarth, but honestly I didn't know it would be that bad. The bottom line is, I was just busting your balls because I am jealous - like nearly everybody else on here - at the number of shows you get to see. That, and I figured you had a thick enough skin to take the abuse on this one. Sorry I hit a nerve, but the joke was hanging right out there in the open, so I took the opportunity.

Seriously though, you shouldn't sweat missing Amon Amarth all that much. They tour like crazy, ya know. You'll see 'em in good time.

have to correct you on a few things

1. even though I live in Europe per se I can't really just hop back in forth between countries, my measly paycheck doesn't cover that ;)

2. I visit the US twice a year, twice =/= several

1. You're still in Europe, and therefore get a lot of the cool shows the US doesn't get, even if you don't get quite as many as, say, London :finger:

2. That's twice more than most Europeans, and twice more than most Americans visit Europe in a year, even for short trips, let alone the extended periods you do it for. So yeah, it damn well is several.

3. And you seem to go for quantity :finger:

You're also never allowed to complain about anything monitary being "measily". Ever.

Amon Amarth are playing Graspop. Stop being butt-hurt because you'll only see them once this year instead of twice.

You get more shows here than anyone on this board. FACT.

You get more travel opportunities to see bands outside of your country than anyone on this board. FACT.

The bottom line is that you see more shows than anyone on here, with the one possible exception being the guy who gets paid to go to shows (or at the very least, gets to see most of them for free, minus travel expenses). You WILL get another chance to see AA, so suck it up and quit your bitching, soldier.

I just found out Sick of It All was added. I didn't see Bold on the first lineup. I didn't know who they were but found out Crippled Youth turned into them! I hope Bold plays some songs from Join the Fight :D I haven't heard Underdog yet.

Russian Circles has a HUGE fanbase here (no pun intended ;)) so I'm surprised they aren't playing at Plan B, where the likes of This Will Destroy You and ASIWYFA are playing this year.

Russian Circles are playing 3 tiny places here as well. I'd imagine they prefer playing smaller places, raises the chance of a sell out show, and the promoters for the Irish shows at least are tried and trusted for them. Not sure if I'm going to see them though, may wait and see.

On the horizon for me at the moment is Steve Hughes Thursday, and then I'm on a break until February!

So I take a look at the site for one of Moscow's concert organizers (they book mostly post-rock and post-hardcore bands; groups that 20-something year olds wearing clown glasses and Isis shirts would like) and turns out they're bringing a couple of bands here in 2012 that I didn't even know were coming! Arms and Sleepers, Sleepmakeswaves, Moving Mountains, Tera Melos... not to mention Russian Circles and This Will Destroy You, which I already knew about!

Man, this year is going to fucking turn me into a post-rock nerd, I can feel it ;)
