11/21 - Blind Guardian purchased.

Now i'm torn: do i bite the bullet and buy the 11/20 Manhat ticket online and suffer the fees, or wait until i am there seeing Iced Earth (and then BlackDiamondSkye the next day) (although I am more interested in Black and Skye), which means taking my chances on a sell out. while i am not expexting it, it is not wholly improbable.

I would as well, I actually don't hate Sucide Silence and the Stick To Your Guns tour is the first 4 or 5 bands to play so I could just miss all of them. I do really want to see Suffocation and The Faceless is one of my favorite bands but with not too much cash and the chance to see Rammstien play their first US show in 9 years, I think i'm going to have to pass on Suffocation.

If you want to post a review for a show, you can start a new thread. It doesn't matter if there are multiple threads for the same show. They will not be combined. (This only applies to the set lists forum.) There is no "official" thread for any given show. You don't have to race to be the first to post a review or feel like you can't post one because someone else beat you to it. If multiple threads are created for the same show that just have set lists and nothing else, those will be combined. But if there is a review or pictures, etc. it is fine to have multiple threads. I always start a new thread to post my reviews and I am rarely the first to post one from the shows that I go to because of travel issues and time constraints.

I need advice guys. The Insane Clown Posse is coming to Columbus in a few weeks, and I don't have tickets. Kinda short on cash right now, so I don't know if I can make it. Should I borrow some money from a friend or family member to see ICP, or should I save up and wait for TWIZTID on 12/7? For those who have been lucky enough to see both, which is better live? THANK!

Always been a casual fan, Nick picking up the sport has helped, and college has made me a million times more of a fan of every sport somehow. (Except golf. Fuck golf.)

Also, hockey jerseys are big and warm and awesome.

EDIT: Also soccer. I'll never "get" that sport.

Eh, don't sweat it. You'd be paying out the ass to see two bands play the same thing you just saw a month ago. Likely the same energy level, too (not much).

I don't know why people are going apeshit over this Big Four tour, anyway. We just had the Big Three, the only difference is Metallica who will make ticket prices even higher. I'd rather see Slayer headline.

Well it's kind of a historic thing if you think about it. I get where you're coming from, but it's a big deal for me. Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth would probably make up my top 3 favorite bands of all time, and I love Anthrax as well, so to see all of them in one show would be amazing for me. The thing I would especially hope for would be that Slayer and Megadeth bring a rowdier crowd to the show, as opposed to Metallica's lame-ass U.S. crowds. Though chances are it would be the other way around...

I dont really care about the Big 4 Tour. Once I see Anthrax headline I'll be set. I dont feel the need to see all of them at the same time. And because of Metallica the tix would be very expensive and it would be in big arenas where the fat old ladies in back of you tell you to sit down.

:I
well all those shows each add up to $20 with charges, while Blind Guardian adds up to $40. 1) FYS is one of my favorite bands and are a ton of fun live, 2) i've always wanted to and have never gotten the chance to see ASP and ABRB, and 3) DH is also one of my favorite bands while i think the rest of the lineup is ace. all 3 shows sounds like i'll have a blast at each of them for a cheap price. Blind Guardian i'm not sure though. reason is explained below.

If you have the desire to ever see Blind Guardian live, do it. They only tour here once every 4 years.

...Oh yeah, and they're awesome as fuck live.

yeah i saw them live on the ATITM tour in 2006. they were amazing live but $40 is a lot on my budget nowadays especially when the opening bands don't interest me whatsoever. also the past experiences i've had with power metal crowds have been really lame. there's always a small percentage of the crowd trying to have fun, and the rest of the crowd with a dead serious look on their face complaining at everything. if people in the crowd start moving a bit, a good majority will complain. and i'm not talking about starting a pit or anything, i'm talking about jumping, singing, bumping into eachother, headbanging with long hair, etc. maybe that is why i sorta grew out of power metal and going to the shows because the crowds from my experience are no fun, and don't even look like they're having fun during the show.

that being said i'll most likely end up going. just got to see if i can come up with the money for it, especially since the other 3 shows are already priorities for me.

makethemsuffer12
10-09-2010, 06:37 AM

 I doubt that would happen at a Big Four show, but if it did you can just scream "SLAAAAYERRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!" in their faces and and flash 'em your dick or something.

I would assume Metallica would play something similar to the sets they played over in Europe for the festival shows if the tour came here.

MDF metalsetlists meet-up plox?
Yeah, we'll see if you pussy cats actually make it happen one of these times. ;)

I don't know for sure if I'll be able to make it, but as I've said before, the fact that I'll want to go every year is basically a given just because it's MDF, and the presence of Neurosis and a handful of other bands on the 2011 bill makes me want to go all that much more. The possibility of wearing my TOOL shirt and kicking Mankvill in the junk when I meet him is yet another nice bonus possibility. So yeah, I really hope I can make it now. :D

Rock and Shock tonight. Despite the presence of a couple of crap bands, should be a good show and I finally get to see Suffocation. The order the bands are playing in is pretty fair with the exception of MyChildrenMyBride playing after The Faceless.

Biggest plus is the god awful Stick To Your Guns tour is playing upstairs at The Palladiun so I can completely avoid them:party:

Are you a big fan of Metallica?? The First time I saw metallica was at a small ass little venue that usually has rap shows or more well known smaller acts take place. It was epic cause it was there first show in california/america in over 3-4 years, and they played nothing but oldies *Fight Fire with Fire, Disposable Heroes, Battery, Sanitarium, And Justice For All(THE ENTIRE SONG), No Remorse, For Whom the Bell Tolls, One, just to name a few*...this was at a small little theater in Los Angeles which only has a small standing pit floor...it beats any arena show ill tell you that for sure:rocker:
