GOP debate. This one was suprisingly well moderated and all the canidates got even time. Of course the questions were rediculously biased towards christians (wouldnt u pass legislation to make television more family friendly?), but Paul did suprisingly well by simply sticking to the constitutional laws while everyone else was demanding more laws, more legislation, more consolidation of government power, etc. Oh and Brownback's opening comment of "ugh why'd they stick me next to him again" in regards to Paul shows just what a douche he is. In the long run this was good because Rudy McRomney didn't show up and that didn't make them look so good.

Well, the two guys are satellite radio talkingheads, and they surely have the faces for it. :hecho: They just sat there and talked about random stuff. Alot of Ozzycock sucking, and then even brought out a dog named Ozzy. Richard Christy from Death and Iced Earth came on, and jammed. Metal Mike the one-man house band. He just shreds at inappropriate times. They had some magazine dude on, as well as some masked queero, and two random chicks from a Motley Crue show.

It's not ALL metalcore but it is very lame show at times. I actually tracked the playlists from HBB for about six months last year. My biggest complaint about HBB is that it is just barely metal. It's really nothing more than approximately 17-18 metal videos with a few metal commercials thrown tossed into the mix. MTV plays alot of the same little vignettes they play on the rest of their video blows. The tours they advertise are rarely metal... a lot of pop rock or rap. At least Jaimie Jasta attempted to put some metal soul into the show... now they play the same Ozzfest or Dave Mustaine or Phil Anselmo (more recently) every god damn week.

Jaime was an expense. The entire show is minimal budget now, even for MTV2.

Regarding clips, I'm glad HBB is no longer pimping Sixx AM. I just finished perusing the last couple of weeks.. now they're pimping cavalera brothers.

Their rotation can be pretty bland, and that's largely I stopped writing down the playlists. I've never tracked the new video count. That's interesting.I usually find that I really like about 4 videos, hate 4 and tolerate about half. I've been a little surprised to see Dream Theater gettting regular play... also the amount of pimping that Otep is getting from her new album.

If you can get past the blatant 1950s moral underpinnings--that's no frontier family you're looking at, they're as suburban as mom and apple pie, and for fuck's sake, the family consists of Joe(seph), Marian, and a conspicuous "golden child"--it's a solid piece of 50s Hollywood magic with plenty of adept filmmaking to appreciate and enjoy.
