Sleater-Kinney played all of The Woods on their last tour, just not in order.

A couple of guesses...

King Diamond w/Abigal?

Goatwhore may have played their last album during their support slot on the Celtic Frost. Granted I don't their music memorized, it sure sounded like they played all new stuff and the new stuff is only 40 minutes long.

GWAR is definitely playing their last album on the current tour.

Oh, duh. 1975: Genesis- The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. I'd kill a kitten to get a ticket to that.

Not metal but I'm sure Green Day HAD to play American Idiot all the way through somewhere, sometime.

Do you mean like in one show in order, or over the course of a tour or career?

Deep Purple played Machine Head a couple of years ago. (It may have only been in Europe.)

Also, Fates Warning has done A Pleasant Shade Of Gray live.

 I'm sure King Crimson must have done at least one their career too. Can't think of any others that haven't been mentioned yet though.

I'm not entirely sure but I think Jethro Tull did all of at least one of their albums.

I'm pretty sure one of their albums (either Earthbound or Starless and Bible Black) was actually recorded live and had the ambient noises removed and released as a studio album.

I can't say for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that Blind Guardian played the entire Imaginations From the Other Side album live within one show but out of order... being that on their DVD, filmed 8 years after the release of the album, they played all but one song off the album... and the song they didn't play at that show HAS been played live.

Thanks to evryone who replied! I was wondering because some numbnut on another board was saying that Maiden copied metallica by playing their whole new album live. I knew there were other bands who had done so before Metallica, I just wanted to be sure to be armed with the correct ammunition;)

The Maiden copying Metallica thing isn't even applicable. Metallica didn't play their new album live, they played Master of Puppets live cause it was the 20th Anniversary, also probably as attempt to regain some fans lost within the past several years, whereas Maiden actually played their new studio album live cause they were really proud of it and because it was so succesful upon release.

Dream Theater is one that comes easily to my mind for this question.

They've played:

Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory (for an entire tour)
When Dream and Day Unite (20th anniversary show)
Darkside of the Moon
The Number of the Beast
Master of Puppets

Almost albums:

A Change of Seasons (Its an EP but they've played it all)
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (They played the entire title song which is over 42 minutes long)
Octavarium (They played the entire title song which is 24 minutes)
