Sepultura cancelled their first two dates on their current US tour without any word on their official web site. They are playing NorCal the next two nights (Sacramento tonight, Concord tomorrow), and I'm trying to confirm these shows with the promoter and one of the support bands in Concord. I called the venue in Sacramento (a 200 person venue! what the hell?!?!) and they are still selling tickets.

I just sent this one into Blabbermouth; maybe they'll come up with more dirt more quickly.

Here's a thread about part of it... http://sepultura.uol.com.br/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19112&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15

Visa problems, so a fan is claiming.

Bourbon Street Bar and Grill. All ages show.

It's not on Sepultura's web site but it's been on the venue's web site for a while: http://www.bourbonstreetrocks.com/

It's on also on JBD's myspace page (support act): http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=23207689

Gotcha. Yeah that rings a bell now, I think Testament and High On Fire did shows there last year too.

JBD needs to come to the other side of the bay:bouville:

From the Sepultura Board:

As of 215PM, local Sacto time, the band had not arrived at the venue and folks heard about last night, but had not heard about tonight yet.

No Sepultura show in Sacramento tonight!

It sounds like Sepultura just isn't showing up to their shows without much of an annoucement. That's bad.

Another question... why was Sepultura booked for a 200 person venue (sac)? I thought Sepultura was a bigass metal band.

Some folks are speculating that the band might have some visa problems.

No one knows about the shows I guess. Bad promotion is what I smell.

These fucking professional bands need to clear that shit up MONTHS in advance. There's simply no excuse in my book.

The big mistake is not visa problems. The big giant fanfucking mistake is not telling anyone about it and having shows cancelled without as much as a peep.
