YEEEEEEEEEEEEHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!

Anyway.

Just got home from my first ever Maiden concert, and all I can say is      Went with Overkiller, KillYourFace, and Div. Me and Ben (KillYourFace) met up at Brady's (Overkiller) college at around 2 and were like "Uhh, lets go." We got there at three, and we were one of the few people in the parking lot and we had 5 hours to kill. I knew that Golden_Goose was holding his regular IMBB meet up, so we walked around and looked for them, but they weren't there yet. We walked to Giants stadium to waste some time, and when we got back, G_G and AstroLaura and a few others were there setting up the grill. Through the hours, we just st there, eating hotdogs and hamburgers, chatting with each other and IMBBers. It was fun.

Around 7:30 we decided to go in, even though Mike (Div) was running late. I went in and got a shirt (AMOLAD album cover with tour dates on the back) while we waited for Mike, and he got there at like 7:15. We went up to our seats, which were seats right behind GA.

Lights go out, and unfortunately for my ears, Bullet for My Valentine take the stage. Ew.

They leave, Maiden is next. They take the stage, and I was "mad pumped" yo! They started off by playing all of AMOLAD, and I felt prety untr00, since I didn't know hardly any of the lyrics. But what made me feel even more untr00 was that there was (and pardon my language) some dumbass mother fucker who tapped on our shoulders and was like "Sit down, we cant see!" So, not wanting to start any shit, we sat. Then came Fear of the Dark, and we were like "Fuck those guys!" and stood up. Overall, I had a great time. First time seeing my all time favorite band, it was great.

Set didn't change, but here it is anyway:

1. Different World
2. These Colours Don't Run
3. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
4. The Pilgrim
5. The Longest Day
6. Out of the Shadows
7. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
8. For the Greater Good of God
9. Lord of Light
10. The Legacy
11. Fear of the Dark
12. Iron Maiden
--Encore--
13. 2 Minutes to Midnight
14. The Evil That Men Do
15. Hallowed Be Thy Name

I took a few pictures:

Dude, FUCK that. I would've told them to fuck off. Shit, sometimes I don't blame Bruce for some of the stuff he says about American fans...

That's awesome though. Steve finally saw Maiden!! :horns:

During most of the show I was the ONLY person in my entire section standing up. I felt s0 tr00

I did, however, sit down briefly during Lord of Light & The Legacy because my right ankle was killing me.

there was another guy and his girlfriend next to me who didnt sit down, then the guy came down to his row and is like "sit down we cant see" and he said "then stand up!".

then security removed him because he wouldnt sit down. i mean wtf, this was a fuckin rock concert youre not supposed to act like a little bitch.

another gay thing was that the front row was almost completly empty, but they wouldnt let anyone sit there.

and I made it there JUST in time. the traffic was so bad it took me 3 and a half hours to get from the ferry in weehawken to giants stadium. :hecho:
apparently maiden knew about the traffic and held off starting for 15 mins.

after the amolad the energy in the place just exploded, it was awesome :blaze:

- edit: oh yea, and there was an elderly couple sitting right infront of me. at first i wondered why they were even there because they didnt seem very into it, but once 2 mins to midnight came on i saw the old lady throw her hands up. it was cool seeing fans that old still supporting the band

Yeah, I felt stupid.

Ben and I were already sitting, haha. It wasn't really worth standing up until FOTD.

It was just such a stupid idea for them to do all of AMOLAD. I like how Bruce tried to tell us it was "for the fans" because AMOLAD was their highest charting US album ever, so of course we must want to hear the whole fucking 1 hr 20 minute thing live. LGlkjdfksd.

But whatever, it was worth it to see Maiden regardless. I'm just pissed that our first Maiden show was... this.

During Brighter Than A Thousand Suns, they accidentally cut off Adrians solo, cut it in half actually... He looked quite angry.

Well, it's official, about 80% of Maiden "fans" need to be taken outside and flogged to death. :tp:

At the Rolling Stones security told me to sit down, i told them to fuck off. They couldn't do shit.

I then ran up to the front row and stood there for the rest of the concert. They couldn't do anything

Yeah, a similar thing happened to me when I saw Queensryche. Security asked us to sit down because people behind us couldn't see. We told them no, and they backed off because they couldn't do anything about it. We spent the rest of the show headbanging and singing along :rockdevil

:cool:Be prepared to wait in a LONG security line. When I last saw Maiden there (GMETID) the security line was so long we missed Motorhead and got to the seats just in time for the lights to go down for DIO. And, I thought I was plenty early:confused:
