I really liked the Blessing in Disguise album back in the day. Surprising that the song Badlands isn't on the list.

Let me rephrase, before Lars formed Metallica, didn't he try out fo Metal Church in 1980, only to be rejected becuase the band thought his drumming blew?

1980- Kurdt Vanderhoof starts a band that he names "Metal Church" (named after the alias given to his apartment where he and his friends worshipped at the altar of heavy metal) in San Francisco. Lars Ulrich is considered as Metal Church's drummer, but he ends up moving to L.A. instead. Nothing much happens with the band, so Kurdt moves back to his hometown of Aberdeen, Washington.

WOW guys, i've just learned something,

They haven't performed badlands since the mid 1990s just before they disbanded. The reason the set was short was they got onstage at 10:45pm and in their set the Madman's overture is over 15 minutes long. Their set didn't end till after Midnight. The current band consists of Ronny Munroe on Vocals; Kurdt Vanderhoof on Guitar; Jay Reynolds on Guitar; Steve Unger on Bass: Kirk Arrington on Drums.
