According to my concert photography buddy...

October 10th at the House of Blues in Boston....

Limp Bizkit.

Limp Bizkit is funny but I think the phrase "1999 Wigger Metal" would be more accurately applied to a band like E-Town Concrete, who apparently are themselves still around.

Everytime a "possible Limp Bizkit tour" thread comes up I always post "Not a fan anymore, but it would be nice to finally see them." On that note... I forgot that I saw them at WrestleMania XIX  . Half of the crowd was booing them, but it was cool to see Undertaker come out to "Rollin'" :D

adamclark52

I was supposed to see them in 1997 opening for Primus. They cancelled at the last minute and there was almost a goddamn riot. The replacement act was a very young Finger Eleven and it still stands as the only time I've seen a band get boo'd off stage.

That's defending them?

You grew up w/ Pop punk in high school. I grew up w/ Nu Metal. I just don't think Mushroomhead or any of those others are any lower than rocking out to Simple Plan or Yellowcard. It's not like I take either seriously.

Are you going to use this as your next Twitter rant?

I remember I was on the train many years ago going to see Children of Bodom, and a pack of teens younger than me asked me who I was going to see since they were going to a concert too. I told them COB...they said "oh!, is that like Yellowcard?".

I had nothing to say past that point.

Implying I know the fucking difference. That was always music that I figured guys got into when girls they liked were a little too scared to get into anything heavy so they figured pop punk was that nice easy middle ground.

You reviewed a Children of Bodom show where you said you liked them.

This was my third time seeing Children of Bodom, and the other two times pale in comparison to the set they did tonight. Everything sounded amazing, the solo's were flawless and the showmanship they had was incredible. I'm not a big Bodom fan. In fact, I'm hardly even a casual Bodom fan. But because of how good each song sounded, the band had me captivated until the end of their set. Alexi really is a god at guitar, and keyboard solos are epic. So much fun. Go see this tour if you can.

Yeah, you say you're not a huge fan of Bodom, but you're other comments indicate that you have a higher opinion of them than sucking. So you were either lying then, are lying now, or your opinion somehow changed drastically within a 2 year span.

Attempt to comprehend the words "in general". Forty dollars for a concert by any band that well established, no matter yours/mine/any one else's personal opinion of said band, is on the low end of the ticket spectrum. I couldn't give a flying shit less about Limp Bizkit, but I recognize that any band that has one (in this case, two) records that were insanely popular and are approaching Diamond certification will always have a decent following & payment guarantee, no matter who's in the band or what steaming pile of dung they might put out after said blockbuster record (here's looking at you, Boston).
