Tommy Ramone was the last original Ramone alive and we have lost him. The Ramones are a band that changed music and lives and especially mine when I was 13. I can honestly say if it weren’t for The Ramones I wouldnt be the person iam today. Tommy played drums on the first 3 albums that gave birth to the genre known as Punk Rock. Even after he left the band he produced some of their albums so he never really left them. When I was 16 I had the pleasure of meeting Tommy. He was a gentle old soul, signed by Rocket To Russia vinyl, and stole my sharpie. I always tell people that The Ramones are the greatest band ever and I still mean it today. RIP Tommy. I was never a huge fan of theirs, but respected all they did as a band and how much of an influence they were to so many up and coming punk bands and still enjoyed what I heard from them. Such a bummer :( .

Fuck man, I listened to the Ramones so much when I was 14-15. Still some of the best American music ever made- it's just catchy, driving, powerful rock and roll. Gonna have to listen to Rocket to Russia as I go to bed tonight.

Never was a big fan of their music but the impact they had on music cannot be debated. It's surprising that nobody is alive from The Ramones anymore, none of them were that old. Still a shame.

Never really liked them, as punk rock is just not my thing, but it definitely can't be denied how influential they were. RIP

I love the first four albums from them. R.I.P.

Never a fan - far from it in fact - but I think this is the first significant band where every member has now died in my lifetime :( Something feels a little odd about that.

I heard about his death this morning, it's a sad day in music. I wouldn't call myself a hardcore Ramones fan, but I love the five albums of theirs I've gotten around to listening to, especially their 1976 self-titled debut album which I listened to a LOT when I was in high school. Although he was only the drummer on the first three Ramones albums, they were very important ones and like someone above me said he produced a couple Ramones albums after he left the band as well. I also found out today that he produced the album Tim by The Replacements, who I know are also a very influential band although I don't think I know any of their music. Anyhow, R.I.P.
