Haven't seen Filter since 2008 but they've always been good when I've seen them, and Local H I remember having some decent songs

Yea I guess it's true. I get why they'd headline but I personally don't agree. I never liked Filter. I know Helmet would crush them live.

More known name, Filter still gets radio airplay and tours with bigger bands

Piece of trivia: Filter's singer, Richard Patrick, is the brother of Robert Patrick, the guy who played T-1000 in Terminator 2.

Yep, and as a band Filter has had an army Sgt. and guys who have played with Tenacious D, KoRn, He is Legend, BLS, In This Moment, and even one worked with Charlie Sheen

And probably the most important piece of trivia involving this band: Nickelback has covered "Hey man, Nice shot". It's probably the worst thing ever.

And the song was never about Kurt Cobain

Tantric was Days of the New with a different singer. The irony being they left to reunite with the singer from DotN.

Robert Patrick is one cool guy. Met him at a horror convention.

That he is, missed seeing them last year because of a car accident and Richard signed a setlist for my buddy to give to me

I actually don't mind Filter. Had Short Bus back in the 90's. Pretty good IMO. But of course, the thing I'm fucking PUMPED for is that I get to see Helmet again for now the 3rd time in less than 3 years after an 18 year or so drought. CANNOT fucking wait til Aug. 5th!!!

Pretty new venue too (at least in terms of bigger shows) right in downtown Jacksonville. Seems like a pretty cool place from the website and what I've heard.

HELL YEAH!!!:rocker::rocker::rocker:
