I've talked about this happening for YEARS with Amon Amarth and Sabaton. I hope this hits Minnesota, although I'm not holding my breath as all 3 bands have been here in recent months.

If that Iowa date is official and MN doesn't get one, I'll be there.

Will go for the Witch and Amon Amarth if it comes here.

Will laugh at Sabaton.

the main reason i'd go would be for Sabaton

Anyone who doesn't like Sabaton but likes Power Metal really doesn't know how to have fun.

Honestly, I love power metal, but Sabaton doesn't do it for me. But then, I definitely don't know how to have fun.

Admitting it is the first step towards recovery.

I'm about 90% this isn't coming anywhere near me, seeing how all 3 bands have been here this year.

Well Amon Amarth already did Denver in the Spring, but maybe they'll hit one of the smaller towns near or in Colorado

WHoa ho ho please give me a Seattle date. That would be a great bill.

After taking my 14 year old brother to Sabaton a few years back I was hooked lol. Just an epic power metal time.

America's only monthly extreme music magazine is turning 10, and we're too pumped up to settle for just one birthday party. On October 18, Decibel is taking Manhattan (and Brooklyn) with two exclusive, blowout concerts.

First up at Best Buy Theater in Times Square: the globally renowned axework of Amon Amarth, Sabaton and Vallenfyre (the latter supergroup -- featuring members of Paradise Lost, At the Gates and My Dying Bride -- will be making their first stateside appearance at this show). Afterwards, if you're still standing, hop the train to Brooklyn, as Skeletonwitch and Evoken will headline Greenpoint's preeminent live metal destination, Saint Vitus Bar (with another very special guest soon to be announced).

Our friends at Beats Music, Lace Music and JSR Direct are sponsoring this extremely extreme gauntlet. Keep your eyes and ears open Friday, as we'll be announcing ticket information then.

Might have to try to hit up the Milwaukee show. I've only seen Amon Amarth at Mayhem Fest, they were pretty good, but I bet they'd be even better in a smaller venue. Skeletonwitch was pretty fun when I saw them too.

That's the same thing I thought...but it's on a Friday...this is going to be a tough call.

I don't like either opener so price will dictate if I go.

Gotta say it's pretty bizarre seeing this lineup playing at El Corazon in Seattle. I saw an evening with Amon Amarth at the Showbox Sodo (capacity 1500) and it was packed. El Corazon only holds 800 people..

Hell Sabaton had El Corazon packed when they toured alone.

$33.50. Not terrible, part of me just hopes ticket sales are a bit slow, so they downsize the venue;)

$25 + fees in Connecticut and VT. I think the HOB show earlier this year was the same price.

Ha.

Get on my level.

$46.50 in Vancouver, Canada. Same price when they played here on their Evening With tour (which was the last time they came through).

Friends of mine are going to be hitting up both Vancouver and Seattle though, so I might just tag along to the Seattle show ($26.50!!!), depending on my schedule.

If you were planning on catching on Athens, Ohio’s blackened thrash powerhouse Skeletonwitch on one of their upcoming tour dates, don’t be surprised or upset if you happen to notice something missing from their live set: vocals. It appears that vocalist Chance Garnette will have to sit out for the remainder of their tour supporting Amon Amarth and Sabaton, leaving his band mates to continue to tour and perform as an instrumental four-piece. Wednesday, the band issued the following statement via post on their Facebook page:

“Lately there have been a lot of rumors, speculation, and assumptions, regarding Skeletonwitch. We want to set the record straight.

Unfortunately, Chance is unable to finish out the tour as he has some serious personal matters to attend to. We ask you to respect his and our privacy regarding these matters.

This obviously left us with a very difficult decision to make and we’ve decided to finish out the tour as a 4-piece.

We made the assumption that Skeletonwitch fans attending the shows would rather see 4 of us ripping through our songs, than a piece of paper on the door announcing our cancellation. If the first 2 shows were any indication, we assumed correctly.

You have our sincerest apologies for not being able to bring you the full show, and for canceling the stop in Albany.

We thank everyone for their understanding and their support now and in the future.

Please come out to the remaining shows for riffs, beers, and hi-fives with us. At the risk of sounding too sentimental, music is equally important, if not more so, during rough times as well as the good.”

Skeletonwitch is not going anywhere. See you soon.”

you know that is pretty cool and let the crowd sing. I agree rather have the music without vocals than no music at all

Pumped for tonight's show! I could do 30 minutes of instrumental, that's cool. I don't know Sabaton, I've heard they are ridiculous. And I haven't seen AA since February, so this will be good.

Skeletonwitch 8-8:30pm
Sabaton 8:45-9:30pm
Amon Amarth 10-11:30pm
