:lol:Yeah, this has been brewing for quite some time. The album has been in the works for a few years now, and last I heard the working title was "Slow Forever". It's my understanding that Erik already has material written. Glad to hear the confirmation that they're going to get together and finally hammer it out, though. This should be ri-doggamn-diculously good.

Glad to hear Erik is moving forward without Phil. Cobalt needs to live, and having Phil's career be a major hindrance to the production of the band was always a bummer. I don't know if Erik can find someone who is on the same intense emotional level as McSorley, but to tell you the truth, I met Phil at MDF in 2013 and he seemed like a bit of a douche to me. Erik was much more personable both times I met him.

I did find it amusing that Phil is a drill sergeant at Ft. Benning. I met up with him at a Volahn show in Atlanta once, and he was much nicer then than at MDF. He had his wife with him and she said she had never seen him play with Cobalt. I guess that goes to show how often they played live....
