One date so far; July 15 at Artpark in Lewiston, NY as part of the annual Tuesdays In The Park series. Wow, this is the only metal show I've ever seen come to Artpark besides the Gruesome Twosome tour in 2010. This one is gonna be at the outside stage too so it's 100% general admission..... oh yeah! Hoping for at least a decent set length

Another US tour huh? They only have a short window between end of Europe tour and beginning of Russian tour, so these might be one-offs.

That's the second leg of their European tour, with two Russian dates part way through, but yes, there's basically a gap between June 29 and July 24, so there's only going to be a handful of dates.

See Megadeth in an outdoor general admission venue for only $12? I'M THERE!!!

I'm surprised they're letting a metal band play the outdoor venue at Artpark. Usually these tuesday in the park lineups are all classic rock and easy listening bands every summer. I wonder if they'll be able to handle the crowd if they get a little too rowdy?

That sounds like "challenge accepted" to me ;)

If I had to listen to Dave talk I'd get rowdy as well.

You are assuming it will be a big crowd. Highly unlikely

That's true and it's not like Artpark is the easiest place to get to in the area either. I think the cheap tickets will help bring some more people out than would normally go see Megadeth. Even though Megadeth tour's a ton now, the last time they were here was on on the 20th anniversary tour for Countdown To Extinction. So, the fact that they haven't oversaturated the market here might help attendance a little bit. They certainly won't draw huge crowds like the classic rock bands that artpark normally books. It's nice to see them taking a chance on a metal band playing the outdoor venue though.

Agree more metal acts would be cool.

Another date added - July 18th at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN (basically Chicago, right on the border) - http://www.ticketmaster.com/megadeth-hammond-indiana-07-18-2014/event/07004C73C358705D?artistid=735627&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=200

Not sure I really want to see Dave though for awhile after his atrocity with the San Diego Symphony...:eyes:

For a country where gambling is only legal in two states, you people do sure have a lot of casinos, presumably via some kind of "Indian land" loophole?

Yes, it is an Indian land loophole that allows casinos on Indian land in states where gambling is illegal. This country's stance on gambling is absolutely ridiculous and stuck in the stone age.

Sports betting of any kind is only legal in 4 states (and only 1, Nevada, has "true" sports betting). Other types of gambling (slots, table games) have become fairly common in other states, whether it be Indian reservations or state law changes.
