RSVP is next week! Hopefully with some line up.

I doubt Alice Cooper will play, but I can see Motorhead doing it.:rocker:
I really have no predictions except the Stoner bands that Scion has beeing bringing in LA. I had so much fun last time. Stoked for this years!

Pretty much, although it could be a nod to "Among the Living", and Motörhead/Anthrax seems more likely

That was a great day. I regret ditching MA/Obit for Waste/Death Angel so much. But i saw Anaal Nathralkh so that was cool. I wasnt into Necrite,Dispirit,or Woe at the time but man it wouldve been cool to see them. Wormrot was my fav that day

They're playing this (http://www.daysofthedoomed.com/Bands_Time_Slots.html) fest in Milwaukee in June.Yeah, I saw that online last night. It's a good thing, but there's not much else going on with that fest that would make me want to commute all the way from Ohio to go to it. I mean, it's my kind of music - well, one of the kinds I've been listening to lately, anyway - but I'm not really familiar with most of the bands in the lineup.

That said, maybe it's an indication that they'll do some more touring between Scion and that festival. :snivel:

What's wrong with Burn My Eyes and The More Things Change?

Burn My Eyes might be one of the most overrated metal albums ever, for starters. But critical praise and hype aside, I just find it very boring, save for the song "Old". More Things Change I actually find a bit better, but still not a huge fan, and still kind of boring.

Granted, they aren't nearly as terribad as Burning Red and Supercharger (that song that Mank posted is probably the only decent song off of either of those albums). But for the praise those albums get in comparison to their Numetal albums I feel is still undeserved.

If any Machine Head album is overrated it's The Blackening. I mean i think it's a good album, but it gets way more praise than it should. Burn My Eyes is way superior to that that album... Songs like None But My Own, A Nation on Fire, Death Church, I'm Your God Now, Blood For Blood are some of their best songs they've ever wrote. The whole album is killer.

There's nobody that I'm a really big fan of on this year's lineup, but as long as there aren't a bunch of conflicting sets I should be able to fill out the day with bands I'd like to see. If anything though it will just be a good time to hangout with everybody again!

One thing that surprised me is that they aren't doing tent stages this year. I thought those worked out well for the 2011 fest. I suppose it's a lot cheaper for them to use the two smaller venues, but I have a feeling they will fill up quickly. Last time venues were reaching capacity early on and caused a lot of people to miss the bands they wanted to see.

I swear to god, I'm not trolling at all, but this is my favorite Machine Head song by far. If all nu-metal sounded like this, it would've been awesome.

An ad for "hairstyles and trends" popped up on youtube when i was watching this. I LOLed

Make sure you check out a little of Carousel! Probably the best of the "retro-rock" bands going.

What I would do:

Nekrogoblikon - 3:00 - 3:30
Speedwolf - 3:45 - 4:15
Orchid - 4:45 - 5:30
Power Trip - 6:00 - 6:45
Exhumed - 7:15 - 8:15
High On Fire - 9:00 - 10:15
Coffins - 10:30 - 11:45

Does Midnight not play California a lot? I'm kinda surprised they're headlining one of the venues.

Fox Theater through Crowbar, then I'd go to Sky Fox from Windhand 'til close.

Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to skip this one even though I had a wristband. I got offered an opportunity at work that was way too cool to pass up, so I'll be in the bay that weekend.

My day will consist of:

Nekrogoblikon
Buzzo
Speedwolf
Orchid
Crowbar
Exhumed
High on Fire
Coffins

I think it is going to be a damn fine day. Coffins is playing in a tiny ass room. I used to go dancing to 80s music in that room. haha They might have it on the patio outside the room that I'm thinking of because it is bigger, but not sure. It'll still be amazing. :D

I'll be seeing Speedwolf, Orchid, Power Trip, Exhumed, Jex Thoth, and Coffins! I'm kind of bummed that Midnight is playing during Coffins, but otherwise the schedule worked out nicely for me. :D

I've never been to the Sky Fox Lounge before. How tiny is the room? Given the problems with venues reaching capacity quickly in 2011 it might be a good idea to leave the Fox before High On Fire is done if you want to make sure you don't miss Coffins.

I wasn't on the will call list last time, but I don't think there was a cut off time. You should email them though.
